4.0 out of 5 stars Hard-hitting party rock August 17, 2012
Format:Audio CD
Money, Sex & Power is the third album from German hard rockers Kissin' Dynamite. The band made a big splash (and completely won me over) with their 2010 album Addicted To Metal. I loved the band's high octane mix of traditional heavy metal and party rock. This time around, there's not much metal to be found, but the party is still going full blast.

Money, Sex & Power kicks off with the title track, an upbeat ode to excess that would make Warrant (Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, anyone?) proud. The song is typical of the larger album, which is essentially one full-on rock song after another. The hooks are huge, the rhythms are very hard-hitting, and the vocals - particularly the shout-along choruses - are wickedly catchy. Melody abounds on this album, but there's a HUGE hard rock backbone. Think Hardcore Superstar, Pink Cream 69 and Crashdiet plus the American sleaze of Sex Slaves. Songs like "Dinosaurs are Still Alive," "She's a Killer" and "Sex is War" are some of the album's other highlights, but there really aren't any duds here. It rocks hard from start to finish.

It's not quite the powerhouse Addicted to Metal was, and I definitely miss the metal side of the band's sound. Still, as party rock albums go, it's hard to beat what Kissin' Dynamite has going on with Money, Sex & Power. It's a totally fun, totally charged rock n' roll album, and is sure to please fans of `80s hair metal, modern European sleaze rock, or just hard-hitting rock in general.

4.0 out of 5 stars aw c'mon, this is a decent album for rockers May 30, 2012

..Third CD from these German sleaze rockers and if you like lots of loud in-your-face guitars and a solid sound you'll love this. Just two or three plays and you'll be singing four or five tracks here non-stop for weeks - guaranteed! Scream and shout and pump your fists to the rip-snorting humdingers that are 'Money, Sex, Power' (" I'm a moola junkie, bucks run through my veins, daily cash infusions, dough is my cocaine.." ) and 'Dinosaurs..." ..There ARE some GREAT catchy riffs, clever lyrical moments and CLASS songs all the way through this disc. Play loud! Perhaps not as melodic as is claimed, nor as metal, think more a sleaze Kiss but very enjoyable all the same. A GOOD album. I'm taking a star off though since the stomping " My name is Hannibal" is only on the Limited Edition and the album really deserves to close with this track rather the acoustic jam that is 'Six feet Under' even with its nice chorus..

3.0 out of 5 stars a little dissapointed May 22, 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
this is the first cd i have bought from this band, although this does have some great songs on it-the lyrics are cheesy as hell and dont even get me started as to how this cd sounds in your stereo-the production is terrible.
