Diamonds are the Perfect Lure,
By
This review is from: The Money Stones (Hardcover)
Ian St. James creates the perfect lure for an ambitious accountant in THE MONEY STONES. Mike Townsend is slowly climbing the ladder in the banking industry, but when the chance occurs to move out on his own he follows Rupert Hallsworth to a new career. The partnership is running very well when Hallsworth suggests a new venture in mining diamonds of an island owned by Aristotle Pepalasis. Mike is more than ready to listen to a scheme that can garner a great score of wealth in one fell swoop. A fast read with plenty of undercurrents. Nash Black, SINS OF THE FATHERS

Gripping, devious and interesting,
By Brian Darmanin (Malta - Europe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Money Stones (Hardcover)
I read The Money Stones in one go. It's not a difficult book to read and although some of the characters are manipulated by the author to achieve his aim, I believe that the story flows very well and it's twists and turns, crosses and double crosses are handled in a very expert manner. One would almost think that the author has personal experience of such shenanigans. The story is about a confidence trick, somewhere along the lines of Jeffery Archer's Not a Penny More Not a Penny Less, with the exception that the story unfolds not out of revenge but out of greed. I enjoyed reading this book very much and if you're looking for a book that is entertaining and written in an easy style then this is the book for you.
