5.0 out of 5 stars Very Philosophical.
Good reading. Offers a unique perspective about money. I really enjoyed the interviews too. Yes, money indeed talks! As supplemental reading, I would recommend The Courage to be Rich and More Wealth without Risk. Like Money Talks, the focus is on building wealth, not get rich quick.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed at best!
Was hoping to get points of view from other than already somewhat affluent individuals with title, prestige, and so on. The author fashions himself after Studs Terkel. I would have liked to know how the homeless vet feels about wealth in America, or the grave digger n Terkel's "Working". What about a white collar convict or an enlisted man with a family...

5.0 out of 5 stars Money In All Its Complexity, March 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Money Talks: Candid Conversations About Wealth in America (Hardcover)
Mr. Koppel's excellent book provides a great deal of food for thought on this often neglected topic. This is not a "feel good" book or "pep rally" for the mind about how you too can join the ranks of the very, very sucessful. It is a positive, philosophical examination of money punctuated with uniqely interesting interviews.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoughtful Reflections On Money, January 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Money Talks: Candid Conversations About Wealth in America (Hardcover)
I enjoyed the commentary, analysis and interviews. The author writes well and really made me think about the many roles and influences--some insidious, others downright humorous--that money exercises in our day to day lives. Much better than Suze Orman!

Great book. The author examines the concepts of money and value through the many faceted perspectives of a diverse group of facinating individuals -ranging from people raised in poverty to a billionaire. Insightful and entertaining-an unusual combination.
