5.0 out of 5 stars Artistic feelings, January 11, 2002
This review is from: Mongolian Tale (Audio CD)
Tengger acted in "A Mongolian Tale" and composed its movie soundtrack which won the Best Artistic Contribution For Music award at the Montreal World Film Festival, 1995. This very gifted composer and singer, graduated from Inner Mongolia Institution of Arts and from Tianjin Music Conservatory, won first place at the Ulan Bator International Popular Music Contest (1990). Into his songs Tengger pours all his emotions and bring forth a grand, magnificent style that shows the free and magnanimous mind of the Mongol people. That CD transports us on the grand Mongolian prairie where we can feel the vast and unaltered horizon and the beauty of nature. "If you can feel my deep love for nature and life in my singing, it comes from my inborn Mongolian nature" said Tengger, and with that CD he expresses it remarkably.

With a BA in Mongolian Language & Literature, and after living in Inner Mongolia for 4 years, I can apprecaite this music in a way that it makes me yearn for many old friends. This album is wonderful and so much a part of the life and way of the Mongol people. If you like this you will also like my webpage about Mongolian Mythology and culture. [...]
