This skateboard is perfect for a beginner, and seems like a bargain compared to what many skateboards cost.

I give this skateboard a 5 because it was everything I expected it to be. I was actually impressed with how nice it was.. its design worked nicely for my daughter who wanted to learn to skateboard. I rec it for beginners at this price.. why pay more for something they may not enjoy so much afterall.

This board is very nice for the price that amazon has it for. It's definitely not a "super-professional tony hawk rode it once and broke his knee when he smacked into Bam Margera" board, but it is a nice board..regardless of what my 11 year old thinks. He uses it as much as he whines about it...hehe.

Get this board as a present and your hopefuly no so picky 11 year old child will enjoy it and not whine about it not being one of the aforementioned boards. ;)

We ended up with a different board thean we ordered but my daughter loved it and wanted to keep it. It is a great board for a beginner and a good deal! Super fast shipping!

This is my 9 yr old son's second Mongoose in under a year and just like the first it isn't very durable. When they state "beginner board" it's for a reason! It isn't meant for use beyond basic riding. My son loved this skateboard when he got it, however now after just two months the grip tape and the wood on the kicktails is already starting to chip in chunks. He doesn't even do any complicated tricks, just ollies, kickflips, basic things so this is ridiculous. For Christmas I'm getting him a better quality pro board, I won't buy Mongoose again unless it's for a kid who would barely use it.

My grandson really enjoyed this! My daughter said he tries to go outside even in the dark to skate now..:)

This skateboard is plain black on top...the color is not seen. My kids like to play with it. Seems durable. No problems with it.

my son loved this for X-mas and since purchased a custum board and still rides this one a lot. Holds up well and arrived quickly.

My 7 year old daughter loves this skateboard. It is a little long for her but she dosn't mind. Good price, good quality.

Our 8 year old daughter has been wanting a skateboard for quite some time. We were hesitant to buy one at a lot of the local mega retailers because the quality looked rough. I was also looking for one that had more of a girl motif to it and not a Barbie style one. This one definitely fit the bill and our daughter loves it. She received it for her birthday a couple of weeks ago and has been playing with it quite a bit. It has good quality and I'm sure that your child (male or female) will enjoy it!
