Wow! What a great deal.
Ok, so I just received my bike and I can't believe what a steal this thing is. Mongoose makes some pretty good bikes and I wanted something that I could both take to work/school and use on the bike paths on the weekends. I looked around at some sporting goods stores around (no names mentioned...) and a bike with a frame and features like this was easily $100 more that...

Durable and Heavy as a tank
Good components. This bike took a good beating going downhill. Great, solid bike for many. However, I had to resell. The weight (45lbs) took the fun out of it for me, and I had problems going uphill. Minor mechanical issues w/derailer, but it's probably my fault as I didn't have a clue with respect to maintenance.

Ok, so I just received my bike and I can't believe what a steal this thing is. Mongoose makes some pretty good bikes and I wanted something that I could both take to work/school and use on the bike paths on the weekends. It was easy to get going, and I can't wait til the weather gets better so I can ride some more.

So far so good with my bike. It rides great and for 175 bucks it can't be beat. Assembly is fairly easy and it seems solid and well built.

This bike is my present for myself this Christmas. Luckily, it went on sale with a free tire pump last week so I didn't hesitate anymore and placed my order.
The bike arrived a couple of nights ago and I assembled it this morning. It was a cinch setting it up and I'm looking forward to taking it for a ride. The product description did not include a stand for it but it came so it was a pleasant surprise for me. Now I've to look at some accessories..... |
