I have to admit, the bike is pretty strong but not exactly strong enough to go on huge dirt jumps or something. The bike is super heavy, around like 35 pounds. Most proper bmx bikes are around 20-27 pounds, with 20 being really good. If you just use this bike for cruising around, then it's a pretty good deal. However, if you are looking into doing tricks and going into serious bmxing I definetley do not reccomend this. The bike is actually pretty cheap though. Again, if you want to go into serious bmxing i reccomend something like an eastern, kink , etc.

I bought this as a gift for my 8 yr. old nephew and he absolutly loves it. I had seen a Mongoose bike for sale at Wal Mart for around $60.00, but you could instantly see the quality difference between this one and the cheaper bike. The price, $119.00 with free shipping was an excellant deal.

This is a beautiful bike, my grandson just loves it. It was delivered the next day. We had to take it to a bike shop for assembly but it was well worth it.

Bought this bike for my son (9) for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. I took it to a bike shop and paid them $45 to put it together for me which saved a lot of trouble so I don't know how easy it is to put together. My son said the bike rides great and handles well. The bike seems to be a good weight for a kid who rides it around the block with his friends and doesn't do any major tricks or anything.

Bought this bike for my grandson, 6 years old, and he loves it. Looks like I'll have to get big brother, 8 years old, one just like it for his birthday. Excellent quality, design, and price.

All of my other son (12yro) friends from his school want to ride Dylan's new bike. The 6th graders want one just like this Mongoose. Easy to assemble and sturdy quality. My kids use their bikes on ramps and in the woods. This bike still looks brand new after a month of rough use. I recommend this bike for its cool looks, popular brank with the middle school crowd and can take rough use by the whole group of friends.

Its ok not for jumping stunting or off road use. other than that its very sturdy ive ridden it and used it for jumping not so sturdy...

This bike is perfect but it is a little bit heavy this Is my feedback.. The bike is great though

We bought this bike as a gift for Christmas and tried to put it together. The front wheel will not go on. The front fork on the frame was compressed in shipping according to the manufacturer. Really frustrating.

Amazon, being the awesome retailer that they are, is overnighting us a new one, in time for Christmas!

Will update on the outcome of the bike. Glad to be shopping with Amazon. The phone call to get the replacement bike didn't take more than 5 or 10 minutes.

UPDATE:
We got the bike in plenty of time to put together and get it under the tree. My son loves his new bike. This is why I shop at Amazon.com. Even when things go wrong, they get it fixed, fast.

The bike did take my husband a few hours to put together.

This was such a great deal so I purchased the bike for my son's Christmas. I figured he and I would build the bike together during Christmas so I didn't open the box until the morning of. That was a blessing in disguise. Cause had I opened the box prior I would have only been more stressed out.
The first thing wrong with the bike was on the outside of the box (made in china). The next was when I pulled out the bike and inspected the parts, the front brake (preinstalled) was bent so severlely. No signs of physical damage, so it had to have been bent prior to boxing and most likely during the manufacturing process. The next was the when I went through the rest of the bike, the front brake cable coming from the handlebar was forced into the handlebar so far I had to take apart the entire handlebar and purchase a tool to force the calble out.
Had they only inspected the bike, it wouldn't have taken over two weeks to give the bike to my son for christmas. I gave them 2 stars only because the easily sent me the parts with no hassles. It did take over two weeks to get the part though. Maybe I should have given the 1 star.
