Mia Arike and Jeni G are the forces behind Before Dark and was destined to become a huge success and was one of the opening acts for Christina Aguilera's Sears sponsored tour in 2000. Before Dark's third and final single Monica appears on their album Daydreaming. Here's the track by track songlist,
1. Monica,
This song starts out with the girls spelling Monica and is a powerful tune about a girl that threatens to take away their crush. And it is a sassy jam that works wonders for the three girls voices,
2. Push And Shove,
This song is the b-side of Monica and it is a mid-tempo song that proves Before Dark's powerful talent. The song also features a rap by an unknown rap star,
While Before Dark never achieved success in the R&B market the three girls have moved on to do other things. Mia once was featured on TV's court show Moral Court and Arike is now the star of commercials for Chilli's but only time will tell when Before Dark will make another album

I am really liking this song. The beat and lyrics are extremely catchy and will definitely have you singing the hook and boppin' to the song quickly. The song has a lot of attitude and will leave you hatin' Monica. Or if you're a playa...it will leave you applauding her. One to buy.

The girls in Before Dark seemed to be hand picked for this project because after seeing the video, they seem to be very talented dancers as well. Excellently choreoegraphed and different.

Before Dark seem like they have a lot of potential but I can imagine that some of the tracks on their album will be hit and miss. Still, it's a good single. Here are the tracks: 1.MONICA: I must say that I was disappointed that the version didn't have the cool sound effects like in the video but, still, it's an awesome song to dance to. The part at the beginning where they spell out M-o-n-i-c-a is really scary. 2. PUSH N SHOVE: The first time that I heard this song I really didn't like it. Perhaps because it has a really slow beat. But, after repeat listens it grew on me. It's still not a favorite though.

This is a great single! It is very creative using hip hop, a little pop, and using pots and pans as insturments! It is a good song to dance to or listen to. After a long time this song might get old and boring, but it will always sound good! I think that soon (in about a year or so) Before Dark might become very popular. This single would be great for party music, or just listening to in the car, so i'd suggest it, but don't listen to it for too long, because then it will get very boring!
