5.0 out of 5 stars what could be better than drinking roses
The taste of Monin syrups is superior to other brands I have tried.
Rose is one of my favorites!

Take some sparkling natural mineral water, add rose syrup to taste.
Perfection.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not so good.
I was looking for a natural product. This syrup has 'artificial' flavors (in addition to natural flavors) and contains Red #40. It does not taste and smell like rose, but I felt it smelled like Unilever's Ponds face cream.

I mixed this with equal parts 80 proof vodka and made a nice rose cordial for all you SCA folks out there. Impress your friends with none of the hard work. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars delicious & unusual punch ingredient, July 20, 2008
This review is from: Monin Rose Syrup, 750 ml (Misc.)
I'm in a dinner club with some friends once a month. When I was the hostest I had a spa themed dinner with a raspberry & rose petal punch.(Epicurious.com) The recipe called for a rose petal syrup, I found it on Amazon.com & ordered it. It smells just like roses & gave my punch a nice sweet flavor. Everyone loved it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A memory of roses, December 24, 2010

I've been thinking about rose water sodas that I had as a child when my mother took me to the local middle eastern restaurant. So of course I searched Amazon! This was not the most expensive version offered but when I got it, it was all that I remembered. Mix the syrup and club soda to taste and drink. You can even make a cocktail by just adding vodka to the mix. It tastes just like roses smell. There are receipes on line for rose cookies and cakes that you can make with this syrup as well. I can't wait to try.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a great taste, November 10, 2010

I love getting rose tea at one of my local restaurants but was getting tired of the price for each one so I asked them how they made it. They said that they used rose syrup so I ordered this one and I could not be happier with the taste and flavor. It is great in tea, sparkling water, vodka or anything else you can imagine. It has a very light but sweet taste so you do not need a lot of it.

I ordered mine from Beverage Gourmet and realized that the shipping costs where high but I added a couple more items to my order that I use and it made the shipping very reasonable. However, I would even pay the total shipping on just this because it is worth it.

Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Deceptive About Ingredients, November 23, 2011

There is a reason the ingredients aren't listed on Amazon. These syrups are billed as natural (I accepted they were not organic). I checked the Monin website before I purchased it, and they left off the FD&C Red #40 from the ingredients in the text. Now that text is gone, and they have replaced it with an image of the label - AFTER I purchased this item.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU DO NOT BUY "FOODS" WITH ARTIFICIAL INGREDIENTS! I BOUGHT THREE ITEMS AFTER CHECKING THE MONIN WEBSITE, AND THEY ALL HAVE ARTIFICIAL COLOR OR FLAVOR, OR BOTH!

This stuff is crazy delicious. I first tried it at my favorite cafe right before it closed (rip Sizizis) and had to get the name of the company that makes it so I could have some at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Monin Rose Water in Baked Goods, March 22, 2011
This review is from: Monin Rose Syrup, 750 ml (Misc.)
I have a few recipes that call for 'rose water' and explain how to make it... using a lot of methods and ending up for less than a teaspoon of it. This is far superior, less costly and doesn't take a month to get a teaspoon.
I sure wish I'd have found the Monin website a lot sooner!
