I couldn't believe that this was going to be a fabulous primer for the face....bur IT IS......it came promptly when ordered.

I'm a big girl, and I honestly love this stuff. Before I came across it, I was using baby powder. While baby powder prevents the chafing, it creates too much dust. Further, my skin where I put the powder every day for years became extremely dry, red, and flaky.

Since these past couple of weeks that I've been using Monistat Miracle Gel (my own name for it - it's really a miracle for me), I've become a very happy, more confident woman. I'm no longer self-conscious about powder being in certain places (talk about ruining a mood - baby powder is not a sexy smell! lol), and the skin now looks like regular, healthy skin. I am no longer dried out and red. The gel lasts all day long and all night - I haven't had to reapply it even once! This truly is a gift.

That being said, let's make a push for Monistat to trash their current packaging and put it in bigger tubes!!! Who's with me?? :-D

I have struggled with chafing issues under my breasts and at my pantyline for years. I have tried talcum powder and several other things to address the issue with no success. I found this product and decided to give it a shot. It has been a wonderful find! It doesn't stain your clothes or leave a residue. It feels silky smooth against your skin and lasts all day long and all night. I initially thought it was a little pricey for what it was, but it is really worth the money. As an aside, it is the same ingredients that are in the face products you use to put under your makeup, so it can double as a foundation primer!

I love this product so much that I have automatic shipments of it set up so that I never run out. Like most of of the other reviewers, I found this product to be extremely effective in preventing chafing, but since that feature's already been extensively discussed, I'll move on to other uses of the product:

1. As mentioned on the box, not only does this offer protection against chafing, but it can also be used to reduce shaving irritation. I've found that it creates a protective barrier between a freshly shaved bikini line and panty edges. I use to get irritation along my bikini line from wearing even the softest underwear after shaving, but I've almost completely eliminated this problem by applying a generous layer of this powder-gel. I assume that men who shave this region would also benefit from using this.

2. While it's not marketed as such, this product is becoming increasingly popular as a cosmetic, and that's actually my primary use for it. Until I discovered it, I was using a makeup primer that cost almost 40 dollars for ONE OUNCE! This chafing gel is almost ten times cheaper and has worked just as well for me--which makes sense because it contains key ingredients of a primer: dimethicone, dimethicone crosspolymers, and cyclopentasiloxane. My concealer goes on much more smoothly and evenly, and blends very well when I use this first. But aside from a little concealer in small trouble spots, I like to use primer by itself without any foundation or powder over it, so I would not be writing this glowing review if I got less than stellar results. The texture of my skin isn't very good (bumps, a few pimples, large pores, and fine lines), but a thin layer of this (a little goes a loooong way) does an astounding job of evening it out! One of the things I like best about using this product by itself is that it is completely invisible and natural looking. My skin is also prone to oiliness so I really like the non-shiny finish I get when it dries (pretty much instantly). My face not only appears soft, smooth, and non-greasy, but it also FEELS that way too. If you've had good experiences with "real" primers and are looking to cut down on your beauty expenses, this is definitely worth a shot!

Like many ladies who've discovered the benefits of makeup primer, I was tired of spending big bucks for small containers that were "hit or miss". I read about Monistat on a beauty blog and decided to try it...am I ever glad I did! It works better than the pricey primers I've purchased in the past (my mineral makeup glides on smoothly and stays until I wash it off at night). It also helps control the shine on my combination skin. I love the fact that I can get it shipped to me automatically. Great product! Great price!

I was a bit skeptical when I read on a beauty blog about this product on your face. This is NOT an yeast infection product, it's chafing gel. And it has the same active ingredient as expensive face primers!! So I gave it a try and it WORKS!!! :)

As with one of the other reviewers I have suffered from chafing issues on certain parts of my body for many years. I thought it was just a fact of life, since nothing gave me much relief... until I found this product! I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. It is a very smooth gel that goes on the skin like silk. It is not sticky at all. I have not had any chafing problems since I started using it. This is one product I will not go without!

When i was reading the reviews about Monistat Soothing Care i thought maybe they are just Exaggerating!!!
but guess what it is so perfect primer for skin before makeup specially if you have an oily or combination skin or if you are living in a hot and humid area, because it prevents the skin from getting shiny and sweaty which could spoils your makeup besides it keeps the skin looking healthy and bright.

I discovered this in a pharmacy type store a couple years ago and have been pretty darn happy with it. You need very little of the product to make it work and it really does feel like a cooling powder after drying (which it does quickly). I get heat rash from my legs rubbing, but this really prevents it. I say almost perfect because it does lack a little staying power when your getting really sweaty or it's really hot out, which is probably when you need it most! I have discovered though, that if you've already gotten rubbed the wrong way, it can sting an awful lot so it's prevenative, not curing. Overall it is totally worth the price and I still use it regularly.

Users have posted a lot of great things about this product that I totally agree with 100% However I use this product to help with new sandals and shoes. If you put it on the top of your feet it cuts the friction from straps - especially when there are a lot of them. Don't use too much - as others have commented, a little goes a long way. This has saved me from a lot of blisters and painful days of breaking in new sandals!
