Love this album more than I thought I would!,

This review is from: Monitor (Audio CD)
I got this album because I heard 3 songs on internet radio which I really liked. They are, Para que Vuelvas, Monitor and Nino de Oro. I really really like para que vuelvas and Monitor, Nino de Oro, eh... But I decided to buy the album anyway. Wellll....I actually really like Nino de Oro, ALOT! And many others on the album like, Desaparece, Yo Por Ti, Britany, Bailas, Yo no se ni donde estoy.... I was actually very Surprised! If I had to categorize them in the Latin Rock genre, then I would say they are more like, Indie Latin Rock. Indie rock has a certain vibe to it. Usually upbeat, straight rock n roll. I love this album and I would definitely recommend this band to anyone looking to get into fresh Latin rock. :)

Diferente y mas energetico que el primer disco,
By Orgullo Azteca (South Central, LA Cali) - See all my reviews

Great sounds of the North of México,
By Julio McJon "Ruzzo" (Mexico City, Mexico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Monitor (Audio CD)
It maybe a shame that no one has entered a reviw about this album, but it's not that surprising. Why? Beacause most of the people down México doesn't really put attention to their own countrymens, eventhoug they have something unique.
This time Volován gives us a new album not as funny as their first album self-titled, and I say funny because it's not as mature as this one, but still a good album. Monitor comes with some sounds that may not be original or give us a serius proposition, but it's one of a kind album either in México or the rest of North America, allow me to explain more this point of view. When you turn on your radio and tuned your favourite music station what do you hear? if you listen to a rock station most likeley something like interpol, Elefant, The Editors, each bad with a sound so alike that you may think that are the same, if you're lucky you may hear something like The Arcade Fire or Muse, but let's be honest, Neon Bible is not strong enough to overcome the amezing Funeral and Muse, well they just went down the toillet, but if cuold hear something that sounds like the early's days of Muse or something with soul, you can face the rest of the day wiht a smile on your face, that's how good is this album.
