My 3-year old daughter uses this step stool both to get into the big tub and to wash her hands at the sink. I did find that it is necessary for safety reasons to have it pushed up against another surface such as the cabinet underneath the sink instead of in front of a pedestal sink where there is nothing but air and then the porcelain base of the sink. My daughter almost tipped it over a couple of times when positioned in front of the pedestal sink in the powder room. I decided to relocate it to the bathroom upstairs where there was a full cabinet underneath the sink. It works great in that location. The storage compartment is useful and also fun for my one-year old. She likes to open and close it and put things in it. That is why I rated it five stars on fun! I would purchase this stool again if I need it in the future. It is also very cute and was very easy to put together, despite my childrens' best efforts to walk away with the necessary components while I was assembling it!

I bought this for my two year old daughter so she could reach the sink in our main bathroom. She uses it everytime she brushes her teeth and washes her hands. All I did was assemble it and put it in the bathroom, she took it from there. She really likes the little storage compartment too...
