Book Description

"Patricia Abbott proves that there are many shades of noir as she expertly layers her stories with melancholy, loss and the frailness of the human psyche" – Dave Zeltserman, author of Pariah

“Patti Abbott is a master when it comes to short stories.” -- Anne Frasier, author of Pale Immortal and The Orchard (as Theresa Weir)

“In this collection of short contemporary noir fiction, Patti Abbott distinguishes herself as an extraordinary storyteller of the dark recesses of the human heart. Abbott’s characters hit hard, fight dirty, and seek a brand of hardscrabble justice that will leave you both wincing and wishing for more.” – Sophie Littlefield, author of a Bad Day for Sorry

5.0 out of 5 stars Short stories that punch October 12, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Patti Abbott took the online fiction world by storm with her tales of the fallen, broken and redeemed. At the same she raises my blood pressure, I also get emotionally hooked. I'm so glad to see her in a collection. We love you, Patti.

I'm going to start with the blurb I provided for Monkey Justice:

"There are few writers who have been more instrumental in my development as a short story writer as Patti Abbott. Her dark, explosive, and yet intensely humane stories leave me breathless and Monkey Justice is nothing less than brilliant"

Typically I'm fairly shy about giving Amazon reviews, but Monkey Justice is a truly an amazing collection from a prolific, immensely talented author who deserves to be recognized as one of the best short story writers to emerge in the past decade.

Buy this collection, you will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Stories! October 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
It can be frustrating following an author who specializes in short fiction, many stories slip through the cracks.

I first came across Patti Abbott's short stories in 2006. With the first one I read, I was hooked. I quickly scoured the internet, searching for her work. And since then, I've read every new piece she's had published.

But some slipped through the cracks.

That's why, for me, this wonderful collection is a revelation. Twenty-three of Patti Abbott's short stories, all in one place.

Whether you're like me, looking for the one's you missed, or you're discovering Patti for the first time, you're in for a treat. This is a wonderful book full of humanity and humor.

Plus, it's called MONKEY JUSTICE. That makes it extra cool.

Highly recommended!
