A fast-paced and humorous story about a boy, Max, who's sure it's just because his dad's bald that he can't get a girlfriend! When Max sees Mr Hepplewaite's hair restorer in a magazine, he buys it for his dad's birthday. But Dad doesn't read the instructions properly and unwittingly ends up a hairy, scary werewolf! No matter how many times Dad tries to shave the hair off, it keeps coming back. Then begins a race against time to get Max's dad back to normal again before he gets into any more scrapes and scraps! A farcical, funny adventure.

About the Author
Sandra Glover started her working life as a teacher. She sprung to prominence in 1997 with her exciting debut novel, The Nowhere Boy, which was short-listed for the Lancashire Book Award and the Lanarkshire Book Award. The Girl Who Knew was also short-listed for the Lancashire Book Award. Best known for her psychological thrillers, she also tackles subjects as diverse as anorexia with compassion and style. She lives in North Yorkshire.
