Pointless yet enjoyable...,

My wife found this incredibly stupid, but part of the reason I liked it was because of its blatant ridiculousness. I mean, the story just kind of starts in the middle with no real leadup, but it works in a zany way. I liked the comic book style construction of the whole thing, and while the story has no real moral or poignancy, and it certainly doesn't teach your kids much, it is funny and charming in its own right. I understand why she doesn't like it, but my daughter liked it and I enjoyed reading it to her. It was stupid, but fun, so I forgave it.:-P |
