A realistic, exciting and instructive little story.,

This review is from: The Monkey Thief (Hardcover)
This is an exciting, instructive, and very well written adventure book about life in the Costa Rican rain forest and a 12 year-old boy from Minnesota who does a lot of growing up before the story ends. I would highly recommend it to any young person with an interest in Costa Rica, rain forest ecology and preservation, and especially neotropical monkeys.

This review is from: The Monkey Thief (Hardcover)
The monkey thief is about a boy named Steve. One day Steve's uncle asked him to come to Costa Rica to visit.
When Steve comes he cleans up the tent that he and his uncle are staying in. Steve finds a friend called Don Luis. Don Luis knows a lot about the rainforest. Steve gets interested in monkeys. Don Luis helps Steve build a monkey trap. Steve's uncle does not like the idea catching a monkey. After awhile a scientist who's name is Ron comes. Ron becomes friends with Steve and Don Luis. Then Steve finds out that Ron is stealing from the giant stones. The rest of the book is about everybody tries to find Ron. You will just have to read the book to find about it.
