Now this book does Nancy Drew justice.,
This review is from: Monkey-Wrench Blues (Nancy Drew Graphic Novels: Girl Detective #11) (Paperback)
A refreshing retake on the over 70 year old Nancy Drew series. I just love the full color pics showcasing her lovely hair color. This book is part of a case stretching through three comic books.

"Monkey Wrench Blues" is installment #11 in the new graphic novel series featuring Nancy Drew, girl detective. This series updates the popular novels by Carolyn Keene, reimagining teenagers Nancy Drew, best friends Bess and George, and boyfriend Ned into 21st Century River Heights.
"Monkey Wrench Blues" is also the concluding segment of a suspenseful story arc about a revolutionary magnetic engine, and the fight to control it, that began in "Ghost in the Machine" and continued in "The Disoriented Express." As this story opens, Nancy and Bess are the designated driving team for a racing car using the magnetic engine, matched against other equally unusual cars. George is content to be a spectator, until Nancy drafts her to investigate persistent attempts at sabotage. Nancy and Bess, meanwhile, are in the race, battling a rugged course, the other cars, and a series of potentially deadly mishaps. Can Nancy identify the saboteur before she and Bess lose the race, or worse? "Monkey Wrench Blues" is the exciting conclusion to an entertaining story, and is highly recommended to the latest generation of Nancy Drew fans.
