I have only used this hiking pole for one trip of four days of hiking so far, but it served my needs very well.

Pros: Compact folded size fits in carry-on baggage.
Light weight.
Camera monopod capability.
Quick length adjustment (I did not use much).

Potential Cons: Cap continues to rotate even when threads fully engaged.
Pole sections can temporarily come apart at elastic connections if tip gets stuck in mud.

I wanted some compact poles to travel with (so they could fit in my carry on or daypack), and for hikes that have sections of scrambling, where i need to use both hands. I tried them out on a breakneck ridge hike last weekend and they were great.
They are durable, light, easy to open ( they just snap into place), and you cannot beat the price.
The maker also guarantees the product for a year.

Bought this for my dad, as he is getting older, it is sturdy enough for him (he weighs 175 lbs) but I would imagine anyone over 250 lbs would bend it pretty well under their weight. The accessories are great, and the monopod mount on top is great for still camera shots.

I always thought hiking sticks were for outdoors, but I recently used this one to shoot a flower show, and I liked how it helped steady the camera and helped me on some uneven footing. It is neither heavy nor cumbersome, and is reasonably adjustable for lower/higher viewpoints. It holds more weight than you'd expect for something as light, and has a comfortable hand grip, and multiple bottom attachments for uneven terrain, dirt, sand, snow, etc;. For the price it's a very nice, practical piece of equipment that will get a lot of use.

I was skeptical when a friend got me to purchase a couple of these walking sticks for an overseas trip--but it met 2 essential requirements. The Pace Maker is both light & conveniently folds into most any luggage. That it had a monopod was a bonus and might be handy for interiors and lowlight situations.
I was pleased that the pole was sturdy though the wooden ball head was quick to separate from the screw-head. No matter I thought as the monohead was now on top permanently and my particular trekking gait uses the handle w adjustable straps rather than the ball top.
Two concerns: in the fold up position best to have a rubber band as the holding strap issued won't stay attached & is quickly gone. Also if/when the barrel gets nicked in the folded position it becomes harder for the pole to self assemble though you can make it work. One bonus: never seen the funny round rubber tire tip as a trek head before. It works extraordinarily well. Beyond foreign travel on behaved surfaces, worked well on scree & the stream crossings of Colorado's 14tners!

Just returned from a 3 day hike using this pole. I was very excited to try this pole, but was disappointed with the performance. The wood ball on the top fell off within 1 hour of the start of the hike, leaving a metal screw exposed to tear hole in my gloves and palm for the next 3 days. Then the rubber cap for the end wore a hole through in about 3 hours. Put the other tip on with all the nubs and it worked great on the wet, rocky terrain but also wore through in about 5 hours. The elastic band that allows it to come apart is a neat idea but with no way to lock it in when your tip snags on brush or rocks and you go to pull up the pole just comes apart. The only thing that this pole worked for was a camera mono pod. Would like to see them add locks for the pole sections, a better top cap, and more replacement rubber tips. Also think they should make a rubber coated V shape that screws onto the top so the pole could be used as a rifle rest during hunting season.

Excellent product. Light weight, folds easily, nice accessories. Only concern is that the "foot" attachments come off a little too easily - came off several times hiking in snow and rocks.

Collapses very small. Easy setup/tear down/adjustments. Seems very sturdy. Not sure I will use many of the end attachments but they do go on and off easily. Would definitely purchase again.
