Board folds out to almost regular size, pieces are the same.

My wife and I enjoy board games, but were having trouble playing our favorites with a toddler running around.

At least no more so than you would a normal edition of Monopoly.

My wife and I enjoy board games, but were having trouble playing our favorites with a toddler running around. We definitely couldn't play Monopoly until we found this! It only takes 30 seconds to save this version of the game, and takes about the same amount of time to set back up. Now when our son takes a nap or goes to bed we can play for a few minutes, or for an hour.

Definitely Recommend!

Monopoly Go is the full version of monopoly in a small package. It's easy to carry, setup and play. The clips for houses and player positions work as advertised; you can fold up the board and take it with you, then resume the game later. My only reservation is that the money, unused pieces and chance cards rattle around inside the case, so you have to sort these out when re-opening the game.

Easy to carry and stow for a camping trip or other. Pieces clip onto board, and there are pockets for each player's money stash/properties to continue on later. Overall, not bad. Took a bit of time to arrive from featured vendor.

Monopoly has a LOT of "moving" parts. Tokens, of course, and money, and the houses and hotels, and all those cards (property cards, chance cards, community chest cards...). There's a lot of things to keep up with. Making a way to keep all those things in a small, portable container is complicated enough. Making a way to do that *AND* pick up a game you started somewhere else.... well that's just impossible. Except - they did it.

Today, there are no shortages of electronic, digital shortcuts to paying Monopoly. Zapped edition, Electronic Banking edition, mobile apps - both full Monopoly games and "helper" apps - heck, I am pretty sure you can play a "monopoly" game on Facebook.... But there is nothing like playing a real world physical game of Monopoly, with real world physical paper Monopoly money. And Monopoly Go has that.

Ultimately, this is traditional Monopoly. No rule changes. No shortcuts. There's not even a "Speed Die" involved (or included). What makes "Go" unique is the "Pause and Play" aspect.

You see, this isn't a travel edition in the sense of you can play this *while* traveling. You don't want to play this in the back of a moving SUV or anything. (At least no more so than you would a normal edition of Monopoly.) What this is designed for is starting a game at one location, "pausing" it - and then taking it somewhere else to finish.

Think of a group of college students starting a game in the Dining Hall, then getting thrown out because the hall is closing, then picking the game up later back in the dorms. Or, a family game that goes on a bit long, and it's passed bedtime, so they pause the game until next week, and don't have to leave the board set up all week to do that.
