Customer Reviews

Solid construction and very well made.

It holds it in place and doesn't seem to creep from the weight, though I had to tighten up some of the joints to keep them from moving.
S
Holds well with my Dell U2312H 23" screen.

It works, but I consider it marginal. The base (clamp) is small and has only 1 screw, so it's not very stable. The vertical post is OK, but the articulating arm flexes visibly. The monitor tip/tilt/pivot adjustment is secured by a single small Philips-head bolt, which is inadequate - even with it tightened as hard as possible, the screen pivots too easily. Also, this bolt cannot be accessed without removing the monitor + bracket from the arm. Tilt adjustment range is very narrow.

I later bought the "Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Fully Adjustable/Tilt/Articulating for 1 Screen up to 27" ~ (by VIVO)" for another room. It is almost the same price, and it is much better built.

After I got this, I can't believe I was ever considering screwing holes in the wall for a wall monitor mount.
This item needs more positive reviews and probably better marketing - it really is a great desktop monitor mount.

Pros
- Height adjusts from the very bottom to the very top of the mounting pole. Not always the case with other mounts on Amazon.
I suppose the bottom-most position could be useful if mounting on a shelf around eye level.
- Can accommodate desks of just about any thickness - was OK with my 1" thick desk.
This is not often the case with desktop monitor mounts on Amazon.
- Comes pre-assembled. You just clamp down to desk, screw monitor plate on back of monitor, and place plate with monitor in groves of mount on arm.
- One of the few desktop mounts available with Amazon Prime at time of this writing.
- Monitor rotates freely, so you can go from "landscape" to "portrait" with the "flick of the wrist".
- Telescopes from about 1.5 inches from the stand to its full length (about 15 inches - more than the 12.5 in the product description).
- Tilts from side-to-side a full 180 degrees.
- Only height and up and down tilt adjustments need the enclosed hex tools. (Hex tool also used to clamp to desk)

Cons
- Hex tool needed to adjust vertical tilt

The combination of features, quality and price make this a no-brainer with or without Amazon Prime.

Note: my desk has a panel running along the rear inset about an inch, so I could not get the rearmost clamp on the desk. My workaround was to cut two pieces of a wood from a paint-stirrer and place them inside the clamp.

I have gone through several mounts in the past month and I have to say this one is awesome. I initially had three 3 Way Adjustable Tilting Desk Mount Bracket for LCD (Max 33Lbs, 10~25inch) - Black and was slightly dissapointed in those mounts. I ordered two of these for an Eyefinity setup which includes 3 ASUS LED 27" monitors and 1 LCD Samsung Hybrid.

I love these for the price (a few cents more than the ones that I replaced) and for the functionality. Just like most people have stated you will need an included hex wrench to adjust the height of it but, other than that this thing pretty much comes fully assembled unlike the previous mounts that it replaced. The cable management loops are great. My setup looks clean because of it. For the price and quality of this mount I highly recommend it.

For reference, I am using this monitor arm with a Dell U3011 30" monitor which weighs 20.40 lbs (9.3 kg).

Pros:

- Setup is fairly easy. All needed tools are provided in the box. (You may need to shore up the desk clamp with a piece of wood if the lip of your desk does not allow for enough clearance.)
- Desk clamp is sturdy when properly secured.
- Frees up desk space with reduced footprint.
-Nearly all metal construction.

Cons:

- The back portion of the VESA mount (the piece that actually connects to the monitor arm) is plastic.
- The VESA mount is secured to the arm extension by two very small threaded bolts which are slotted for a flat head screwdriver.
- The ball joint seems to be fairly weak after rotating the monitor in portrait mode. Resulting in the monitor tilting downward when set in portrait mode. Additionally, the ball joint will not stay in place when in landscape mode as well which leaves my monitor looking like a crookedly hung painting. I've read that tightening some screws on the VESA mount has resolved this issue for some users. I will try this and update this review with the results.
- Allen head screw makes safe height adjustment nearly impossible without unmounting the monitor first. As a result, transitioning from landscape to portrait for larger monitors can be quite cumbersome.
- Base clamp has four holes (Two of which are not threaded.)
Summary:

If you are looking for a monitor arm that will free up desk space and don't need the ability to transition to portrait orientation often, this is probably the monitor arm you want. (Provided that you do not encounter issues with a loose ball joint.)

I will be returning this monitor arm if the ball joints cannot be resolved by tightening some screws

Finding an adjustable monitor stand is pretty hard, especially one that can support a monitor that is 33 lbs, but this one does it, and at a pretty cheap price!

Setup is very easy, everything adjusts with the supplied tools, and a variety of bolts are included to accommodate any sort of VESA mounting hardware you need for your monitor.

The largest monitor I have on it is 26 lbs (well below the 33 lbs max rating). It holds it in place and doesn't seem to creep from the weight, though I had to tighten up some of the joints to keep them from moving. From the build quality, I'd actually be a bit hesitant putting a 33 lbs monitor on it.

Three joints make it very adjustable. Monitor height is secured by using a hex key (which is provided). Monitor mount allows for roll, yaw and pitch which will allow you to even out any desk level issues. This adjustment but is a friction mount, which can only be tightened by removing the monitor from the mount and tightening a screw.
