they installed fairly easily on my extended 2002 pontiac montana.

the OEM airlines connected without modification.

they're slightly smaller in diameter than the OEM, but that might be a good thing. i discovered that my pass-side brake line was rubbing the rubber boot (which was probably the reason the compressor ran so much).

there was no airline kit included, even it's mentioned in the description.

Purchased shocks for 2002 Olds Silo. They worked great. These replacements we're slightly smaller in diameter than originals. However, they work fine.

This part is the exact replacement for the OEM shocks. The dealer quoted me almost $700 to replace the shocks. With a little help from a friend, was able to install these in about half an hour. Now the van levels off like it's supposed to and it rides great. The web description says the hoses and fittings are included; they're not, but didn't need them anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shocks, February 25, 2011

I bought these shocks to replace 8-year old, 170K mile ones that came with the car originally. I installed them myself and it took me about 90 minutes to do the whole job. I had my '03 Montana up on a lift and also had air tools to use. Had to remove the rear tires to get at the upper bolt. The weird thing was the bolts on the van are 18mm. Would recommend a good deep-socket of that "odd" size and a good wrench of the same size to do the job. These probably would be available for rent from several auto parts stores. The original air lines connected perfectly. The original shocks were leaking causing the auto-lift system to start pumping air and it wouldn't seem to stop no matter what I did. Very annoying! Since the new ones have been installed, the air pump comes on periodically and then quits like it did when the van was new. The ride is very good now. Great deal. Highly recommend these shocks, but don't put as many miles on your originals as I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seem to be working, November 30, 2008
This review is from: Monroe MA824 Max-Air Air Shock Absorber (Misc.)
Arrived in damaged package but the shocks seemed OK. No extra tubing or fittings as suggested by listing but fortunately weren't needed. No indication that they were Monroe brand shocks. Markings on tube indicated made in US and some numbers similar to MA824. They fit and seem to work. Good price.

These were really easy to install, if you are a do-it-yourself-er don't hesitate to install them yourself. They are a little smaller than stock but our minivan (2001 Olds Silhouette) rides better than the old ones that were starting to leak.

4.0 out of 5 stars smoothing the ride, May 5, 2008
This review is from: Monroe MA824 Max-Air Air Shock Absorber (Misc.)
Shocks were an exact fit, and the factory air lines clipped onto the new shocks in the same way the originals did. The shocks do not come with the air line as amazon said they did, but they were not needed because they were a direct replacement. If you need the shocks and air line don't forget to order the AK29 adapter kit. It would have been 5 star if it included the air hoses Monroe AK29 Adapter Kits
