4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely
A fan of wooden combs, I was searching for a replacement when my last one broke. This is an excellent comb. Good "hand" placement and delightful designs across the top.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap in More Ways Than One
Standard shipping meant that I had to wait over a week for my item to ship out even though the company is just a state away. So many people had left seller feedback about good fast shipping.

The comb arrived looking cheap and bulky with a Made in China sticker. It's too wide and harsh for trying to part hair. Within a week of owning it the varnish began to...

5.0 out of 5 stars a good comb, July 23, 2007

I love wooden combs, when I was very little my mother used to comb my hair with one just like this, I was thrilled to find that they are still around, they are better at controlling static than plastic combs and if you have longer hair like I do, they are better at bringing your natural oils down to the ends. I like this one because it is more sturdy than the last one I had, which I accidently broke by sitting on it (it was a different design). I would suggest this comb to anyone who wants to try something other than plastic. And the price it great, afterall you will get a lot of use out of it for this one time purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars teeth too close together, January 10, 2009

It appears to be very well made, and has a great feel to it, but my hair is very fine so I have to hold my hair to get the comb to run through it instead of just running over it... if the teeth were just a tad further apart I think it might have turned out perfect for me. Aw well, back to the search...

The comb is one of the first artifacts man ever made - it is nearly a birthright to have a natural material comb running through your hair. This comb doesn't break hair, rake the scalp or build up static. The wooden comb instead picks up just a bit of your hair's own oils over time to redeposit them ("Hey! Stop shampooing me all the time with harsh detergent!" your hair says by being frizzy and dry) and gives the scalp a satisfying gentle scratch and massage. This comb is well-made, with narrowly spaced sturdy teeth, fit to the hand and extremely lightweight. And the price is amazing - buy two!

I love this little hair comb. It is sturdy and beautifully combs hair without breaking hair strands. I lost my little hair comb recently and I miss it. I can't wait to get another one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and Beauty hand-in-hand, October 4, 2008
By

This comb is really sweet; I wish I had more people to give one to! It would be a lovely baby gift. Since nobody has really mentioned the look, though, I would like to say that (in my opinion) it has a feminine sense to it. What I thought was wood grain in the on-line photo is actually a beautifully hand drawn sketch of a leafy tree branch and (towards the right) a little bird. Also, the top of the comb is thicker than I expected, which is good, and is neatly carved along the edge which adds to the quality and charm. When I unwrapped them from their package, I instantly lit up thinking,"Oh, they're perfect!". Then I remembered that I didn't buy them for my daughters, but rather for my husband and son! I thought they seemed a bit girly for them, but I don't think they'll mind. Definitely a sweet gift for a little girl- or any female who can manage their hair with a small comb. If you're a guy who appreciates beauty, nature, or birds, you'll like this, too. I agree with one of the other reviews, buy more than one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, A Wooden Comb For Baby-Fine Hair, July 8, 2008
This review is from: Wooden Hair Comb (Health and Beauty)
Most wooden combs have too much space between the tines to be of much use to people with fine hair, as the tines are what move oil from roots to ends. However, this comb is spaced just right. Add the attractive styling and chiseled ends, and you have yourself a dandy little comb at a great price !

This comb is great, all the plastic ones would make my hair so staticy. This one keeps my hiar sleek and tangle free. Pretty design along the back, as well as sturdy. I'm not afraid to put it in my bag. exelent price, i would suggest buying a few.
