5.0 out of 5 stars Four words = MY WIFE LOVED IT!
For years, I have tried to get my wife to take an interest in video games. She's never cared for them. Even Mario Party couldn't crack her resistance. However, the combintation of the Wii and the brilliant simplicity of this game worked. Within minutes, she was racing and laughing and having a great time. 3.0 out of 5 stars Simple, but funish
I bought it admittadely for a wheel to play with Mario Kart, but the game seems alright for 20 bucks. However, I'm having problem using the Wiimote with the wheel. On the official Nintendo wheel, there's a cutout for the sensor, but this wheel doesn't have a cut out and the sensor goes 'off' as soon as the wiimote gets inserted.

If anybody would like to...

However, the combintation of the Wii and the brilliant simplicity of this game worked. Within minutes, she was racing and laughing and having a great time. Nintendo has hit the mark with such a user-friendly system: awesome job! Ubisoft did a great job creating a fun, social game that is good for die-hard gamers (me) and complete newbs (her).

A+!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool title, May 14, 2007

This is a great game. It's short, but c' mon guys, all racing games are short and easy nowadays. The only racing game which was ever so difficult and long and not that fun was that Michael Andretti's game on the NES. That was really difficult and long. Other than that, in order to keep the public's attention, they have to be much more fun, and manageable.

Although short, since I beat it in two hours, I really enjoyed it and still enjoy playing it, but this is only because I like to beat the game and upgrade all upgradeable things there is to it, so that's why I still play it and will keep it for a while.

4.0 out of 5 stars A little too easy, December 20, 2006

I was excited about how well the controls worked for this game. Steering wheel a definate plus. However, I bet the game in two days. I'm not a beat the game kind of person so I was a little disappointed in how easy this game was. Super fun, but a let down in the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun for 20 bucks...and you get a steering wheel with it!, March 10, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars

I got this with my 5 year old Grandson in mind. He will love it as much as I did. The steering wheel that comes with it is quite sturdy and a real great deal...a game and accessory that is useful for 20 dollars! Yes the tracks get repetitive, but you unlock the reverse direction on them as a reward for winning races in World Circuit mode. The cars are cool...love trying to make that School Bus do tricks, and so is the ability to paint them how you like and put any combo of decals on. The controls are easy to get the hang of and can be played without the steering wheel as easy as with...it just adds that cool factor. You can't go wrong for 20 bucks, and if you have kids that are into cars they will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for all. Easy to play., January 19, 2008

Retiree here. This is easy to play and a lot of fun. The free wheel is a nice touch. The remote fits perfectly, with no hassle. I purchased this because it's made by Ubisoft, and I enjoy their Rayman Rabbid Rabbits (1 and 2) games.

Update: Just purchased Wii Excite from Amazon. The wheel is great for Excite as well. Amazon's $39 price for Excite is the lowest I've seen. I found The Monster 4x4 as enjoyable as Excite.

We got this game for Xmas and though i haven't really enjoyed too many of the racing games that we've tried for the Wii, this is definitely the best one i've tried so far. Maybe it's the wheel that makes things a little less awkward, because even my 3 year old son does alright with this game. The multiplayer minigames definitely have lots of potential, but it gets kinda hard to play if you are the player unfortunate enough to be without the wheel. All in all, lots of fun, really easy to get the hang of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game for price with wheel...5 & 10 yr old having fun, June 21, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Monster 4X4: World Circuit (with wheel) (Video Game)
Bought this for our 5 year old son...took a chance and it worked out...Its easy enough for him to play - we had to help him with the set up at first etc...but I think he will soon learn how to navigate through the different aspects of the game on his own...but he's having a blast driving around, crashing into stuff etc etc. Our 10 year old daughter is enjoying the game too. The controller in the wheel works great...(fyi - you only need the curser in the beginning when you first turn on the game - so do the curser thing first then put the wii remote in the wheel when you no longer need the curser - then you operate the game/car controls with just the buttons on the remote placed in the wheel)...The controller is actually pretty sensitive as far as acurately turning the car etc. etc...This is actually our first racing/car game - so we have nothing better to compare it to - BUT - if you think its a great price with a wheel included, I think its worth it for young kids. Especially if this is their first car/ driving game.

My son is 5 and loves the game! All he wants to do is drive and unlock the new trucks. Game is very basic, but it's fun for him.
