4.0 out of 5 stars Gotta love the '80s
It was interesting when I opened this cd and put it in the cd player. Both of my parents went crazy about it. I thought it was cool because it brought back a few of the interesting songs that you know, but you can't really remember the names or artists... I really like the cd, and a lot of my friends are already asking to borrow it. I think that people should get it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Crap
Would you really want to remember what total crap was like? You do! Buy this then. (especially if you are turning 40, or you work in PR or HR and you are not male!) Sorry that's the way it is!

It really brought back memories from living in the '80s. Get it if you want a flashback!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Monster 80's (Audio CD)
This extremely 80s collection includes all the best new wave hits of the decade. If you're looking for a fun, party CD, then this is also a good one! From Duran Duran's irresistible, fun ''Hungry Like the Wolf'' to Mr. Mister's heartthrobing ''Broken Wings'' to Culture Club sound alikes Spandau Ballet's ''True'' to Toni Basil's cheerleading hit, (Oh Mickey you're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey Mickey!) ''Mickey,'' this CD is a great one to your 80s collection.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I grew up in the 80s and love some of the classic tracks and then don't dig the synth/cheezy tunes like Flock of Seagulls. Adam Ant, Rick Sprinfield, etc. tunes and timeless classics and this cd def has more good than bad ones. Def worth buying a used copy and going back to the roller skating rink and making out in the arcade.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Hits Of The 80's!, June 1, 2011
This review is from: Monster 80's (Audio CD)
When I first took a look at the track listing of the CD, I was a little bit skeptical. I decided to go ahead and buy the CD in the store anyway since it was at a good price. Out of the majority of the 80s themed CDs I own, this album is one of my top favorites. Each song just makes you want to rock out and sing along, no matter how quirky it is like Toni Basil's "Mickey" or an unusual classic like Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me".

Track Listing:

1. Hazy Shade Of Winter - The Bangles
2. Dancing With Myself - Billy Idol
3. Take On Me - A-Ha
4. Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran
5. Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - Culture Club
6. Who Can It Be Now? - Men At Work
7. Stray Cat Strut - The Stray Cats
8. Sunglasses At Night - Corey Hart
9. Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
10. Goody Two Shoes - Adam Ant
11. If This Is It - Huey Lewis & The News
12. Der Kommissar - After The Fire
13. Broken Wings - Mr. Mister
14. She Blinded Me With Science - Thomas Dolby
15. Too Shy - Kajagoogoo
16. Mickey - Toni Basil
17. True - Spandau Ballet

4.0 out of 5 stars A good buy, January 4, 2002

While it's definately not the best compilation out there, some of the lesser used songs from the 80's appear here. This is not one to buy for the famous names, but more for the one hit wonders... songs like "true" and "broken wings" make it a good easy listening CD. A more appropriate title would be light sounds from the 80's... if not for the few upbeat classics.
