I had tried a few other ways to connect an electric guitar through my Mac to take lessons on GarageBand. This is simple and inexpensive. And it works! Anyone who wants to record their guitar on their computer should get one of these right off the bat. Plug and play was never more true.

This is a simple converter, but it's working very well. I use it to connect my guitar to an old powerbook g4, and I've had no problems.

Works right out of the box, just plug it into the computer- as long as you plug it through a pedal or other power source (the product doesn't tell you that it's needed). Once it's plugged in, it works like a charm and sounds good on the computer.

It's small and reliable and that's all i really need. It's cheap enough considering it has lasted me a couple of years and i've never had a problem. If you have garageband it's a great way to gain access to all the effects if your amp is old school like mine.

this adapter works great, i just plugged it into my imac, followed the setup process i saw on youtube, and i was all set. i play my new beginner guitar on garageband now, and it sounds just fine. very simple and easy way to record and play. get this adapter, it is fantastic.

it is awesome sounds amazing, my acoustic with the amps, its like i have a hundred guitars doesn't make any noise, just have to change the input to built in input and you are set

I used this to hook up my acoustic guitar pickup. Works like a charm when I plugged it into my macbook!!

This adapter fits snugly between the Pyle mic I am using with the mixman 5.8 wireless surround. Looks great also.

I had previously bought a cheap connector from our local Fry's store - while it works the socket wasn't really long enough for a guitar plug so had a poor connection. Some reviewers comment on this being an expensive product but in my experience you get what you pay for. This Monster cable is just the right size for working with your guitar plugged into the audio input of your Mac. You can leave it plugged into the computer and easily connect your electric guitar cable and play away. Highly recommend this product.

Best option for getting your musical instrument into GarageBand. High quality. Gets the job done. For Mac'ers, just plug into your sound input and open GarageBand. But first sure you have Line-In selected in your Sound Preferences after you plug your instrument into this adapter. That's it!

Cheaper and IMHO the highest quality solution vs. cheaper products or the all-in-one instrument cable and adapter by Griffin.
