This review is from: Monster 200 Amplifier Power Kit for 200 Watt Systems (Electronics)
Used the kit to hook up a Pioneer GM-5400T amp bridged mono @ 380w to a 12" kicker sub. While this kit isn't rated for 380w (200w kit), I'm not pushing my system to the limits by any means. Note that the 300w kit uses the same 8 gauge wire, the main difference seems to be that it includes a fancier fuse holder and a 60 amp fuse. I'm still running off the original 30 amp fuse, which tells me this kit is sufficient for my amperage needs.
The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that the fuse holder isn't integrated into the main power wire, but rather it is molded onto about a 1 foot section which you must crimp onto the main wire. As I mentioned, the kit functions just fine, so I suppose it didn't do any harm. The kit comes with a piece of shrink wrap which is the same length as the included crimp connector, which makes the wrap useless. It is a good kit at a reasonable price. |
