Goosebumps HorrorLand Monster Blood for Breakfast is a cool book. One day after school Bradley ordered monster blood on Matt's laptop. Monster blood is something that starts out in an egg and if you eat it, it makes you grow nine feet tall for 12 hours. The monster blood got in Matt's ivy plant and when Matt watered it, it started growing. The next morning, Matt's sister Livvy had snuck up on the monster blood and she put it in Bradley's cereal bowl. Then Bradley switched bowls with Matt and then Matt ate the monster blood! After school Matt started to grow and he could barely fit his legs in his swim suit for the swim race. When Matt jumped in the water he started to stretch out like crazy until he was eight feet tall and he was swimming like a machine. He won the swimming race! Then his swim suit tore off and then he was nine feet tall! He covered himself with some towels and ran to Bradley's house and the 12 hours were over and he shrank back to normal.

I recommend that eight-year-old boys read this book because they will understand it.

Monster blood, scary parks, changing people. These are things boys love to read about and I am for anything to get boys to read more. However, this story is very much like the other books by R.L. Stine. I don't really care for the way the story ends. Sort of leaves you hanging there. I think there are other better stories with more story to them. But hey, if it gets them to read, go for it.

goosebumps books are a huge hit with us. anything that can make an 8 year old read and really enjoy it is wonderful. my 8 year old loves this book; he's read it at least 4 times since he got it for christmas. would recommend.
