I originally bought the Monster HTS200 for my 50" LCoS projection HDTV. It was 1650J surge protection with Clean Power 1. I wanted a little more surge, Clean Power 2 and the Tri-Mode protection that Monster has (HTS200 has dual mode). I really wanted a rack mount but found the features in the 1100 very similar to the MKII 2600 from Monster. The surge was double on the 2600 but everything else was basically the same. So I figured I could live with the powerbar. I actually turned it upright, have the plugs come in from the top and it is placed on top of one of my DVD players in my rack so I can see the status LEDs. Works out well. I may purchase the 2600 or maybe the Belkin PureAV with AVR and use this for the LCD we have for my daughter's room. But this will do for now. I am using a battery backup that has the AVR in it already so that is taken care of.
Anyway, product is nice, well built, comes with the mounting bracket which is nice if the wife lets you mount it on the wall. Other than that, easy hookup and labeling of all the inputs. Great products...Don't know why Monster seems to charge more per J of surge. Don't expect drastic changes in picture or sound unless you really have a problem with your AC power line which is rare. Buy this more for protecting your equipment than anything else. Plus, you can monitor the voltage and current draw on your AC line which I think is handy - can help catch early electronic faults.

This device works surprisingly well. It did improve the sound quality of my stereo and the video quality of my TV, esp DVD's, blu rays, and not digital over the air broadcasts.

The big reason I bought this instead of a new strip is that it had the low voltage switch to turn off my amplifiers. I don't know why they do not have this feature on the newer powerstrips.

I found a lightly used version of this incredible power supply for about 60 bucks (on Amazon) and really enjoy it. I live in southwest Ohio and we have had an unnatural amount of lightning/thunderstorms this summer and this thing has proved itself! I have my 46" Samsung LCD, DVR, DVD, Xbox 360 and stereo all hooked up to this thing and when my power in the entire house has gone out this thing protected all my latest $3000 worth of home theater equipment very well to the point that nothing even kicked off. Very impressive. I love all of Monster's products, but I refuse to pay top dollar. I have found all of their products on Amazon much cheaper than any retailer.

Great design and features. However, don't plan on utilizing the remote switch by using your receiver, BECAUSE THE RECEIVER ITSELF IS ON THE SWITCHED LINE. What were they thinking?

I've had this for 2 1/2 years now when I purchased my 45" Sharp Aquos, at the time I had a PS2, Xbox, Sony Receiver, DVD Player, Verizon HD DVR, Gaming Wireless D-Link, and a Belkin System Selector. I've never had a problem with it, and would recommend it to serious Home Theater gurus who want a quality item.

Here's a product for me that has solved all my home theater needs.It has 8 outlets 4 of which are for video and 4 for audio.I've owned this product for about four years and it has not failed me once.It has protected my equipment through fluctuations in current to full power outages.Also with it's stage 2 clean power feature the picture I receive on my plasma TV is crystal clear as are my audio devices.For what it's going for is peanuts compared to the absurdity of paying any thing more for any other units that essentially do the same thing.It's an all in one solution to anyones problems concerning there home theater needs.Also I might add that Monster's M500DVI cable has also played a major role in why my plasma TV is so life like.Also it's seems like everyone wants to bash Monsters products.Maybe they should think before they react.

I like the voltage meter on the unit. The unit is very large, but I guess that's what is to be expected. Great value.

Pro's: powerful surge protecter that offers unbeaten protection from lightning strikes or other types of surges. Also provide's clean power to your electronics. In other words, it provides a constant flow of balanced voltage to anything that's plugged into it, something that regular surge protector's don't offer. Unfortunately, this luxury is the reason why this thing is so expensive. One thing i liked about the protector is there's a light which illuminates to let you know that your wall outlet is grounded. Ever since i moved into this home, i was unaware that my wall outlet in my living room wasn't grounded out (had a loose wire). I immediately called an electrician to fix the problem and i would have never known the problem existed if it wasn't for the fact that i bought this pricey surge protector. Con's: The Price. You take away the clean power feature, and the thing wouldn't be hardly any different than a 30 dollar surge protector that retails at radio shack.

Some people will complain that this is too pricey and you're just buying it for the brand name. Yes, that's true I tell them, but at least I know I've got one of the best surge protectors/power strips on the market protecting my $3,000 equipment!

This MPB 1100 is a workhorse. It always lets me know that it's on, it has convenient adapter and regular plug outlets, phone and cable jacks, and everything is pre-labeled. If you're into saving the UPCs and receipts, Monster even provides $$$$$$ worth of a guarantee to back this product. I highly recommend this product if you want to feel secure knowing that your $$ is being well spent and protected.

But hey, if you want to trust your pricey entertainment system to a rinky dink, no-name, off brand, made in China, $19.99, Wal-Mart special, then this is certainly not the product for you.

The clean crisp picture is awesome. The power strip cleans the signals up very nice.
