I ordered this product back in November, and when it shipped I realized they sent me a 4' cable instead of the 8' cable I payed for. I tried contacting the company several times, it took two weeks to get someone to acknowlage me, funny cause it was one day before the time limit to be reembursed by Amazon.com directly. They offered to exchange the product if I would pay return shipping, which I think is unfair cause It was their mistake to begin with. I would never buy from this company again.

I picked this up under the Used and New for $19.99 new. For that price, I feel that this cable is a good value. At $30, I'd say it would be a good value as well, but not a penny more. Digital is digital, and I feel that you're primarily paying for the looks and prestige that comes with "Monster." If you aren't interested in looks, or don't really care about the Monster name, Monoprice offers the same quality cables at a fraction of the cost.

A cable is a cable as long as it connects the same way. Although the manufacture claims some sort of special image improvement, etc I really don't see it but what the extra 10-20 bucks does buy you is a better sturdier cable that has a less chance of degrading over time due to wear and tear so from that perspective it is worth it. Plus who knows maybe there is some sort of miniscule difference. At least the cable doesn't feel cheap and it definitely does the job it was meant for - moves sound and video from my cable box to my tv.
