Monster High Toralei Stripe Doll with Pet Sweet Fang

Toralei Stripe is the latest in the long, popular line of Monster High dolls.

Toralei is the daughter of the werecat, though she never really changes forms, she is always as she appears.

It's worth noting there are some visual differences between the doll and the cartoon character. The animated version of Toralei has visible fangs, and a cat-like nose, and no tail. The doll actually has a tail, but has no painted on fangs, and has a normal human nose. Toralei, like all the other dolls in this line, has her own unique face mold, including the fact her ears are nothing like Clawdeen's or Clawd's. In fact, I suspect a lot of the little changes they made to the Toralei doll from her webisode appearance was to help establish that she is not the same kind of creature that Clawd and Clawdeen are.

Toralei comes with a short bob hairstyle that is firmly held in place by thick styling gel. While it is feasible to rinse this gel out, be forewarned that doing so will result in a more "fluffy" hairstyle, and the stripes painted onto her hair will likely fade, and potentially lose some of their cohesion. However, some people prefer the look with the gel washed out, so your mileage may vary.

As noted, she has a tail, and this pops in and out of an anchor in the small of her back for easier dressing. This also means if you find an outfit you really like on another doll in the line, you can just pop Toralei's tail out and she can wear it as normal. (Toralei's unique outfits have holes or velcro available to accommodate her tail.) She has unique hand molds; they have her gloves molded and painted on, but her gloves also have metal studs on them, which makes them different from previous "molded on glove" style hands we've seen.

Toralei's accents all involve stripes, or cat toys in theme. Her purse is especially adorable to me, because it has what is clearly a cat toy (fuzzball with two feathers attached) charm attached to it. She does a good job of standing out and being unique among a whole line of unique dolls. As the other reviewer notes, she is bright orange (her face is actually two tones of orange, though this doesn't always show up well in pics of her), and most of the other dolls in this line are cool colors, like greys, blues, greens, browns, whites, etc. Toralei is definitely one of the brighter dolls, and this isn't a bad thing.

All in all, if you are a fan of the show, or this line, you will probably be really thrilled with her, even if she is a "bad guy", her doll is simply lovely.

Thank you Amazon for having this doll available at 19.99! What auction sellers are selling it for should be criminal! They buy out store stocks then rip everyone off who has a child begging for this doll. So if you want Toralei just keep checking back with Amazon! They won't let you down!

Toralei was always my favorite monster high, even before she was a doll. She is very wild and cat like. My favorite part is her tail. No other monster high ever had a tail. I love her and play with her every day.

it took weeks of coming back and seeing outragous prices but finally found from amazon for 19.99- got one each for my two daughters- just keep trying and do not have to pay inflated prices- thank you amazon

My girls will love these for Christmas. We got lucky and found them for $20 on Amazon before somebody (Scrooge) bought them all and put them for sale for $50+ . I think that is an outrage and I am very upset about it. I hope those people get nothing for Christmas but coal!

My daughter literally squealed with excitement when she unwrapped this doll, my friends daughter did the same thing, and i was pretty excited when someone bought her for me as well.
Toralei is a beautiful doll, her catlike face is adorable and her ripped up clothing is very punk-Esq. She comes with a cute little saber toothed tiger pet and the diary of course.
Her tail is removable! you can put her in other monster high fashions if you desire to, its not a problem at all, I dont recall a tail on her in the show anyway, so remove away if you'd like, it pops on and off without any trouble.
Toralei's hair is FULL of glue, to keep its shape, and i have seen enough of this particular doll with the glue washed out, I would suggest leaving it in if you dont want to re-add your own product, her hair fluffs out without it, and she just doesn't seem as cute. It is there for a reason.
I would recommend her to all monster high collectors and the kids that love to play with them, she doesn't have to many small items, her hands come off of course, but she isn't coming with small hair clips or a little phone like some of the other dolls do.

My daughter absolutely loves the "Monser High" dolls. Toralei has been a wonderful addition to her collection. She was thrilled when she got her for Christmas and has played with her every day.

This was a very hard to find doll. She was a Christmas present for my daughter who had been begging for her for weeks. The only thing wrong with her is her tail comes off easily. It doesn't bother my daughter though. Thank you Amazon.

My daughter received one for Christmas and it is just a depicted online, she looks great and is now in my daughters top five among Abbey Bominable!

I got this doll as a Christmas present. I like to display her by my other Monster High dolls. I have noticed some differences from the picture, though. 1: My doll came with earrings. 2. My doll's pet had a scarf on and it looked like a different pet is in the picture (maybe it is just how the pet's eyes look to me, like maybe they look different to me.) Her tail kept on falling off (sometimes), I would say keep the tail on, if you don't want it to fall off. There is a hole for the tail to attach back in to the doll, though. I think that this doll is a great addition to any Monster High fan's collection. Like the character in the Monster High episodes (at Monster High's website), she has stripes on her left leg and stripes on her right arm. I think the Monster High doll makers should make Meowlody and Purrsephone (the other two werecats) dolls, that way any Monster High Fan or Collector can display (or play with) all the werecats. :)
