Monster Fun With Twyla

The ghouls of Monster High are off on another exciting adventure in Monster High 13 Wishes, and this time we meet Howleen Wolf's best friend, Twyla. The daughter of the Boogey Man, gore-geous Twyla doll looks totally dreamy in an ultra-chic outfit with adorable accessories. She's also fully articulated, so your own ghoul can pose her in lots of fun ways!

Fashions to Dream and Scream About!

Shy and misunderstood, Twyla hides under normies' beds to capture their nightmares, rather than adding to them like her dad! Lacking a mean streak, Twyla instead displays a fierce taste in fashion, with a ruffled black-and-purple skirt and a matching top with a bow at the neck. She accessorizes this enchanting ensemble with chunky shoes, bracelets, a belt, and a dream-catcher purse.

Spooktacular Details & Accessories

Twyla doll accentuates her haunting features with boo-tiful makeup and a colorful, streaked hairstyle. She comes with a personal diary, a hairbrush for touching up her 'do, and a doll stand for striking different poses. Plus, ghouls will shriek with delight at her pet dust bunny, Dustin!

Based on the Movie Monster High 13 Wishes

It's a classic genie story — with a Monster High twist! When Howleen Wolf discovers a magic lantern, she's granted 13 wishes instead of three. She makes some good choices and some bad choices, and creature chaos soon ensues! It's up to the ghoul friends to save the day — and all before the Haunt the Casbah Dance! Girls will love recreating favorite movie moments and inventing new adventures with Twyla doll!

From the Manufacturer

Monster High 13 Wishes Doll Collection: Howleen Wolf discovers a genie lamp and turns Monster High upside down. Monster madness ensues, particularly when poor Lagoona Blue is turned into a freshwater sea monster. But along the way, the ghouls make two new friends and possible BFFs (beast friends forever, of course.): Gigi and Twyla. Gigi is the daughter of the Genie and so she must grant the wishes of her finder – whether good or bad. Daughter of the Boogie Man, Twyla is not what she seems. Often shy and misunderstood, she hides under normies' beds to capture their nightmares rather than adding to them like her dad. It's spook-tacular entertainment. Doll comes with pet, diary, brush, doll stand and character-specific accessories. Each sold separately, collect them all.

Twyla has been one of the dolls that I had a super hard time getting. Finally when she became available on Amazon for $19.99 I snapped her up. I was excited about Twyla from the stock picture but when she arrived I was even more impressed with how adorable she is. Twyla is a smaller sized doll (the same size as Howleen). The thing I like the most is the spider and web theme she has throughout her outfit and accessories (I didn't even notice it on the stock pictures). Twyla's hair is mostly seafoam green with stripes of cobalt blue and a very few thin dark purple stripes. It is slightly wavy with blunt cut bangs. Her skintone is a beautiful shade of lavender except for her hands which are metallic grey that fades out as it goes up her forearm towards her elbow. She also has wispy metallic grey designs on her lower legs. Her eyes are really lovely being mostly pink and purple and having larger black pupils (I imaging these enlarged pupils come from her need to see in the dark. That is a very clever attention to detail on the part of the designer). Her makeup is minimal but it works for her. Her upper eye has black eyeliner and eyelashes with her lower eyeliner and eyelashes being purple. She has a line of lavender painted under her lower eye but it is so close to her skin color you can hardly detect it. Her lips are a stunning shade of metallic mauve. Her eyebrows are green which stands out nicely against the color of her skin. Her 3/4 sleeve top is a dark purple with black stripes down printed on it with little spiders dotted along the stripes. The shirt has a black collar with a bow tied at the front. Her three tiered skirt is a mix of a black background with a seafoam green swirl design with a purple tulle ruffle sewn at the end of each tier.Read more ›

Just to let you know i am a kid not a collector so this review is about playing and stuff like that. Anyway, now onto the review! So Twyla is really beautiful but that's been said before her hair is mint green with purple and blue highlights that look amazing, her make-up is really minimal and her clothes are a purple 3/4 sleeve to with a spider print and a purple black and mint ruffle skirt and purple mint and black shoes. Her skin is a lavender color fading to grey on her arms and legs. She also has a mint belt with a skullete and a spider on it. Now if your going to play with her you really need to move her hair around other wise it look plastered to her head. Mine had a slightly stiff right knee joint so i check that out because a younger child may break the leg(and believe me that is really upsetting). She has a pet bunny named Dustin he is really adorable he is a slightly darker purple than Twyla with on gray button eye one pink line eye and a really adorable expression! Her purse is really cute and it opens just be careful if it snaps off like mine did it takes some muscle to pop back in! Also if you put a flashlight on her eyes for a minute or two then go into a dark room the effect is really creepy and cool looking i have to thank another reviewer for tipping me off on this it is so cool! By the way one reviewer complained about the size and I went searching the entire internet for the dolls height and i couldn't find it so here is it Twyla is about 10 inches slightly smaller than the other MH dolls. Overall i think Twyla is a wonderful addition and in my opinion is one of the cutest MH dolls yet! I hope you find this review helpful Twyla and I are going to play! Bye!

Twyla looks quite different than pictured. In person, my overall impression of Twyla is that she is less cutesy and has more of an intense/forlorn presentation that is appropriate for a monster like her: The Daughter of the Boogey Man. Twyla is all moonlight and shadows - her main colorways are a waxy mint green and her favorite color burple (which according to her is blue mixed with purple). Twyla's skin is a very light purple which gradually changes to smoky gray on her forearms and hands. She has silvery smoke patterns that start at her ankles and reach up her calves. Twyla has purply-pink eyes, frosty pink lips and cute little dimples at the edge of her mouth. I love her bright mint green eyebrows and her long soft minty green hair with burple streaks. As others have mentioned, a fun thing about Twyla is that the whites of her eyes glow in the dark! (I thought her hair might glow as well, but sadly, no.)

Twyla is a new character - she is 15, shy, and hides under "normie" kid's beds to catch bad dreams. She has the best Monster High Pet yet: a purple dust bunny named Dustin. Twyla is one of the smaller scale MH dolls - the same size as Howleen Wolf. She wears a blue and black elbow length blouse and a tiered black and mint mini skirt with purple net ruffles. Her accessories are a mint green belt and bracelet, a purple and black handbag with a cobweb and purple and black heels. Her best accessories are her silver earrings that are a silver Victorian style door knob and lock-set. She comes with a doll stand, hair brush and diary.

I know a lot of collectors are excited about Twyla and the new 13 Wishes Doll line. Twyla is a great original new character. Monster High does not disappoint.
