For those wondering: this works perfectly well with Apple's new MacBooks!
This is a very convenient all-in-one cable for connecting your 12" PowerBook or MacBook to a television, provided the TV supports S-video (there is no RCA connector for video). Build quality is top-notch, too. Unfortunately, the price keeps this from being a 5 star product. Anyone who has ever considered buying Monster knows this already, mind you. However, compare this to Apple's $20 Mini-DVI-to-S-Video/Composite adapter, the cost of a quality S-Video cable, and Y (1/8"-to-RCA) audio cable, and it's not that much more expensive. Especially given the free shipping that Amazon offers. The all-in-one convenience trumps any 2 cable + adapter solution for me, too. |
