This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
1. Monster(Intro)- Great Intro On first Track Telling why he's a monster.

2. Monster- Crazy Track, Rips it for 2 minutes phat track

3. Akshon(Yeah)- Andre 3000 Produced what can you say he does his thing the beat is raw.

4. Rap Is Dead- Talking About The State of hip hop now.

5. Scared Straight- Telling a Story About life in the penitintary phat beat to it.

6. All 4 U- This is one of my favorite tracks one because he tells everybody to keep they head up dat's luv killa thank u.

7. A.D.I.D.A.S.- Mainstream Hit nuthing else to say

8. CreepShow- This features Bizarre From D-12 so u know this track is crazy tight beat and flow on it.

9. U Know I Love U- This is one of the tracks that i skip through because it's not dat good.

10. Home Of The Brave- The best track on the cd hands down Feat. Slimm Calhoun.

11. L.I.V.E.- Tight Flow on dis track phat beat too. Overall great track.

12. Blow(Get Down)- Also one of my favorites on dis cd. This feat Rock-D one of Killer Mikes friends.

13. Sex, Drugs, Rap, Roll- One of the Tighest flows on the album and a futuristic beat.

14. Dragon- The Best Flow He ever Did on any track. This sng is sad though because his deceased friend Frank Fass Black" Williams is on there and the track is dedicated to him R.I.P.(Jazze Pha) Background Vocals

15. Re-Akshon Remix- The Hood Single Also one of my favorites on this cd.

Overall Killer Mike Cd Was what i expected it to be a great album. This grammy award winning artist is worth getting and not forgetting. This is the best south album this year next to Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz.

* Bonus Track Hard Nard- Great Track too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep My Weapon Covered Concealed and In A Shield..., April 14, 2003
This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
Killer Mike is one of the many Dirty South's answers to constant critiscism. You know you hear it all the time...."Southern rap is crap"..."Southern MC's suck"..."all they talk about is ice, women, and cars"..."horrible lyrics" etc. etc. etc. Killer Mike is here to let you know southern rap is where it's at. Killer Mike brings that certain energy and rawness that the game lacks and he is one of the many refreshing lyricists to hit the scene in the last year. This monster has one purpose; Revive the rap game. Backed by the legendary Outkast, Killer is determined to rip through each & every track. The beats are vintage Dungeon Family bangers. 'Scared Straight' is one of the best songs I have heard in the last two years.

Killer Mike's raps have substance. Checc out "All For U" or 'Rap Is Dead' where he addresses the state of hip hop. But he's also into that bump bump bump for ya trunk as witnessed by the first two singles 'AKshon' and 'A.D.I.D.A.S.' He represents for that GA GA on 'Home Of The Brave' which features Slimm Cutta Calhoun. "Blow" is a braggadocio pimp track that sports a really great beat and Mike is menacing with his flow and lyrics on the song. Man the whole cd is ridin. The only song I didn't care for was "U Know I Love U"...it was just wack.

Killer Mike is one of the many new artists holding it down for real with his own style and scheme. Excellent lyrics... excellent dungeon family beats and excellent beats make this an Aquemini records success. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Monster Muzik!!!, November 17, 2004

like killer said he's "an ungodly figure" and i agree. what makes his album so good first off is he's orginal. he sounds like no one else. his stlye grabs by the throat and does'nt let go. killers lyrics are on heavyweight status because his wordplay is just as clever as jay-z and eminem's. the producation on here is top rate because u know that dungeon family music be str8 bumpin'.

only one song on here is totally whack and i don't understand WHY he put it on there. its called in the club or something, it doesn't fit with the vibe of the album. another big plus about MONSTER is its short and to the point. u won't find no filler tracks on here except that one i mentioned earlier. killer mike says RAP IS DEAD, but listening to him puts it on life support. Hotep!!
