Ok, so I'm 17 and when I saw this game for 4 dollars here on Amazon, I thought I'd give it a go. The game arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't wait to play it. At first, I had thought I'd be able make my own monster and run around killing other strange beasts but this game is more "structured". First of all, let me say that the battles are a bit more like Pokemon since you take turns fighting.

Anyway, I have only played this game once and for about an hour so I can't give an in depth view on the entire game. I was most impressed with the graphics. The game kind of has this awesome dark, almost Tim Burton sort of feel. There is this Lab where you can mix parts and uses tools and...Well, loads of other stuff but I wasn't really paying attention to the Mad Scientist guy who was telling me what was up.

I did the first mission where you help out this mayor guy fight off a crazy monster in town. It was easy and I look forward to the more challenging stuff. So yeah...There isn't too much non-stop action going on but it's something that will definately keep me occupied since I want to find out what happens in the end (there is a whole storyline thing going).

One last thing I should point out is the Instruction Manual I got was in French.

Yes, I obviously know English, some Spanish, even some Latin and Italian...Yet I don't know French. I was worried that I wouldn't know the controls at all but luckily, there are characters in the game who speak English and tell you how to do everything. It could be just my game that got French instructions but I advise you pay attention to what the people tell you.

Just wanted to write a quick review of this game,as I found a used copy in a video game store for a good price.

Making monsters and naming them is a really cool concept, and the style and enviroment fit well with the game too.Classic B movie horror music during the monster battles is priceless. The characters are funny and the storyline is well written;light hearted halloween style.

The best part of this game in my opinion is the monster battles. They are turn based and require a bit of strategy to win.For instance, should my monster chomp at the other monster's chest for more critical damage or should I blast off it's head first with my eye laser beams;OR should I recharge my monster's battery to have more powerful moves in the next round?

The only thing I did not care for in this game is the mini games. While they would have been pretty good, the game manufacturer simply did not give enough time to complete said mini game.If they would have added another 10-15 sec to each game, that would have made things much easier and not as stressful.

For example you only get about 10 seconds to piece together an ancient artifact or smah up a coffin. While not a terribly difficult task, you have to be pretty quick. If you do fail, you can try again, but you have to walk around for awhile for the mini game to "reset".This can be a daunting process esp. since some of the new body parts you collect can only be obtained from winning mini games.

All in all however, the game was well made and sells for a reasonable price. If you like monsters, halloween and esp. turn based fighting,I advise you to pick up a copy.

Son's words: I really like the game. I liked to create my own monsters. And I also like to name them. The characters are really funny. I like the cartoonic graphics. (Age 9).
