I had this remote working with a z wave dimmer, projector, blu ray, uverse and x box 360 for my media room in about 1 hour after opening. Super easy to set up, omnilink works great and it the remote has worked flawlessly for the most part. Some annoyances, when you change a programming option in the remote you have to do so with omnilink also, which means you need to go get the omnilink out of the cabinet or wherever you have it and plug it into the computer (not a big deal if you have a laptop). The screen resolution is terrible but it doesnt bother me all that much, the remote was under $70. The charging cradle can be a little touchy when laying the remote in it for juice. Also and this may be user error, I have lighting scenes with the z wave dimmer and you can easily associate your light scenes with activities ie "watch tv", but I can not associate the light scene with a specific button like the "pause" button. I want to hit pause and have my lights come up and hit play and they go down. I know how to set up sequences for the buttons but when you go into the software and set that up it will not mention the z wave dimmer it just mentions my projector, blu ray, uverse and xbox. I will probably just end up calling customer support and see if they have a solution. All in all this remote has been great and I would recommend it to anyone. I researched for months on what remote to get that was RF capable and a great price. This one had it all but I was still a little hesitant because reviews were so bipolar, either someone loved it or someone hated it. I'm glad I didnt get a lemon and I'm certainly happy to own this remote.

This product has great potential, but fails miserably in its execution. Discontinued two years ago, its disc software conflicts with Windows 7, although you can download a system that works decently. It freezes frequently after setup. There are no directions or paper manuals, and good luck trying to find them online. But the biggest fraud with this item is that it supposedly works with RF, which is why I purchased it. I wanted my RF Directv DVR to function on RF while my TV and A/V receiver could work with standard IR. In the first scenario, it won't transmit RF to receiver only IR. Then, if you concede to just IR, it won't take all commands, just a few that you have to "teach it."Btw, customer service at Monster is reprehensible. After waiting on hold for twenty five minutes, the tech explained that you needed to purchase an extra receiver to make the RF work, at a cost of 150 bucks, that is, if they had any available. Even then, all it does is take the RF signal and translate it to IR, so the DVR still needs to be set in IR mode, rendering your Directv remote incapable of working in RF mode. The one plus is that after many hours of "hope and poke" programming efforts, it did work a couple of times in the IR mode before freezing. It was nice to be able to macro the one button to turn on a DVR, TV, A/V receiver and dim the lights.Once you figure it out, the setup on computer was intuitive and easy to modify. But then it froze repeatedly, causing me to return it to Amazon. As always, they were great about taking it back and refunding, but I'll never get the ten hours of my life back trying to get the thing to work as advertised. Still looking for a versatile remote that can send IR and RF at a price under a hundred bucks.

After much research I bought this product, however we were very disappointed!! I cant say anything positive about the remote. The screen graphics/type was very poor quality (low res). The online setup was a nice concept and "easy", but labor intensive. The remote settings did not work consistently from day to day.
Whenever you made a change to the setup, it was a 2 step process to update and you had to swicth cables back and forth. Even small changes took a very long time to update. I returned it and bought a Harmony 900 which works perfect!!!
