This is a great item, works great for the tv and PS3 in my bedroom. Be aware though, there are two ground prongs on the back of the plug, it will require both spaces on a duplex receptacle.

The power center works well allthough I have not had any electrical storms or faults to truly test it yet. The few areas that I would take issue with are
1)the outlets in my house are the rectangular "designer" kind with no screw in the middle. The AV 200 uses a screw in the center to secure it to the wall outlet. I have not had issues with it falling out but could be a problem.

2) Would not fit behind my main TV because of the tight space between the outlet on the wall and where the TV is hung.

3) As with all Monster Power products I have, the recepticles are extremely hard to insert a plug into. I guess it is better then falling out but they need to find a happy medium between not falling out and forcing in.

I have purchased Monster surge protectors in the past and have had good luck with them. I expect the same with this one. However, the reason I am writing this review is to WARN others that the description on this product is NOT correct. The description states "Protects internet/fax/modem line from damaging pulses and discharges caused from surge pulses". There are NO input/outputs on this surge protector for an internet/fax/modem line. If you want a compact Monster surge protector with internet/fax/modem line protection get the Monster HTS200(FlatScreen PowerCenter).

I bought two of these and they were shipped from a company called Galactics. They were packed ok but didn't come with any warranty cards/info from Monster. I requested the warranty cards but Galactic responded that they aren't a authorized dealer and cant provide the warranty info. I'm disappointed with this and wouldn't have bought them if I had known that. Of course I could send them back but the cost and trouble to do that would be more than the purchase price. They do seem to work ok and don't appear to be seconds or returns but who knows. I see that Amazon is using a different company for them now so maybe they found this out too. I've always had good experiences with Amazon but this one is disappointing. Buyer beware make sure you get the warranty Monster offers!

I had a power surge that burned out the surge protector for my TV & Stereo equipment, it also burned out a power strip surge protector. I had my projector plugged into the Monster Cable MP AV 200, it was beeping...it protected my projector but it fried the Monster surge protector. My garage fridge was the culprit that caused all this mayhem! I was lucky and I had all my expensive equipment plugged into a surge suppressor minus my electric oven. I will recommend this item because it saved my projector.

Item was OK, Was suppose to fit behind the TV. It was To Big with the small profile TV mounts. I used a 14 foot cord and connected to my major surge protector.

The monster 1000 with Clean 2 power.

Way cheaper than the regular stores.

By the way, you will need to plug it into a double plug outlet !

I wasn't looking for this item to solve any problems and, in fact, didn't note any improvements in either audio or video presentations. Nonetheless, I'm glad to have its protective capabilities at minimal cost.

Excellent and inexpensive solution for behind a wall mounted television. From the wall to the end of my Panasonic television power cord plug (where the cord becomes flexible) is about 4 inches. The center screw for attaching to a non-decora plug is easily removed once free from the paper washer. Came with all warranty information. Good buy!

I have no idea whether or not the clean power actually does anything to improve the picture quality I see from my projector (I doubt it does), but if it does, it's really just a bonus. I mounted the projector for my home theater to the ceiling and needed a surge protector that I could plug into the outlet I had installed on the ceiling because I wasn't about to lose my projector the first time we had a lightning storm. This screws into the little screw in the middle of the outlet holding it in, so I'm more than happy with it knowing that it's protecting the projector and it's not going to randomly fall off the ceiling at any point. In the $20-range it's cheap enough that if the clean power thing happens to be helping the image quality, all the power to it.
