Not for a lightning storm,

This review is from: Monster Cable MP HT 200 Home Theatre PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 1 v2.0 (Electronics)
I plugged my power center into the wall outlet and connected my tv,etc. What confused me was in the instructions - it says "Warning - in the event of a lightning storm, immediately disconnect your Monster PowerCenter from its power source. After you've done this, it's not necessary to disconnect any components from your Monster PowerCenter" Am I missing something? I thought the purpose of the PowerCenter was that in case of a lighting storm you could still leave everything plugged in. Maybe I misunderstood what the purpose of this PowerCenter is.

A little Power please,
This review is from: Monster Cable MP HT 200 Home Theatre PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 1 v2.0 (Electronics)
So if you have a house with plenty of outlets and only want to protect your big TV and the cable box from a Power spike this is perfect (5 star). If you're like me though and need one outlet to service your tv, modem, xbox, 360, computer, all at the same time, this just isn't enough. The warranty only covers items directly connected so while a cheap power strip could be attached to this (which I did for a while before I bought this guys bigger 800 series brother) only the power strip would be covered. Enjoy.

Well it helped do something....,

I have a small 19" flatscreen in the kitchen, and when turning on the microwave the tv would flicker. I went out and bought this hoping it would help, and low and behold it no longer flickers when turning the microwave on. Not sure if Stage 1 filtering is a bunch of BS (90% positive it is...) but, I know the flickering from a microwave is BAD for my sensitive tv. So for that important reason, I recommend one. Definitely get a surge protector on every TV in your house, if not Monster get a decent one. (not the same as a power strip!!!) Take care
