Product Description

Compact, Light, Convenient AC Outlets for Travel
Frequent travelers see the problem often: Not enough outlets in a hotel room. Everyone knows you can carry an ordinary power strip, yet most travelers don't. Why not? Ordinary power strips are bulky, cumbersome things, with thick dangling cords and boxy dimensions that make carrying in a thin laptop case almost impossible.

Outlets To Go 6 is Sleek and Slips Neatly Into ANY Laptop Case
Designed for travel from the ground up, the award-winning Monster design team created a truly portable outlet strip: Outlets To Go. Exclusive Monster features include ultra-flat design with FlatProfile Plug, FlatWrap Cord, and space-saving 6-outlet Dual-Side layout with 3 wide spaced outlets on both sides. Outlets To Go is so light and thin, you'll take it everywhere.

Safety, Confidence and Peace of Mind for Travelers with More Electronics than Outlets
If there is one thing more frustrating than checking into a hotel after a long day, searching for AC outlets and then finding just one lone socket at the base of a lamp, it's the anxiety of not knowing if this will happen tonight! Now with Outlets To Go you will always have enough outlets--consistently, confidently, and very elegantly.

Outlets to Go will provide safe charging for up to four devices, and prevents overloads with its resettable circuit breaker. You'll have peace of mind knowing that all your portable devices are ready, every day and every night, when traveling with Outlets to Go.

From the Manufacturer

"The brilliance of this product comes in the design. The space for the outlets are staggered on either side of the power brick saving space. Rather than putting six outlets on one side like you would normally see, you have three on each. The cord is short but exactly long enough to wrap around and plug into itself for storage.. The plug that goes into the wall is connected on the side to make it more flush when stored."

It's 6" long with a 12" power cord that wraps around the length of the outside and plugs into one of the four outlets for travel. Sturdy and compact, small enough to fit easily in any kind of bag. It was perfect for our trip to France where we needed multiple outlets on one adapter to charge batteries for our cameras.

This is one compact and useful power strip. I bought this power strip based on all the positive reviews I read on this site. I bought it for carrying it on my India trip. I am currently using the power strip for charging my laptop (100-240 V adapter). I'm using it with the Belkin F8E449 Universal AC Travel Adapter in India (with 220 Volt outlets). The blue light faded after a few days, but I wouldn't care less, because otherwise it seems to work very well. It has 4 outlets that are spaced wide apart even to accommodate bulky adapters. It also has a built-in circuit-breaker with a reset button. It does not have an ON/OFF switch but I didn't need one for my kind of use. The build quality is excellent, and the cord is heavy duty. It is light and the foot long cord wraps around and fits nicely into any laptop bag. I would strongly recommend this for all travelers (domestic or international).

Just got back from a trip to Europe. I took this along and it worked fantastic! I used one adaptor to charge up to four devices at one time. Every thing we plugged in was rated for 110v-240v so I didn't need a convertor to go with it. I wrote to Monster customer service before ordering and they told me it would be fine to use without a converter and it was absolutely true. Used it in both France and England, no issues what so ever. I solved the problemm of most adaptors not accepting a 3 prong U.S. plug by buying a jump adaptor to plug into my international adaptor at the hardware store for less than $1. Ask the guy in the electrical department, he will point you to what you want. Good luck and don't worry, it works!

The OTG400 was intelligently designed by someone who knows that battery charging bricks need more space around each plug. The short power cord keeps packing space minimal. The only problem is that the plug is grounded and most plug adaptors designed for abroad are made to fit on two prong plugs. So either find plug adaptors for grounded plugs or just run to Radio Shack and buy a grounded to two prong adaptor.

But don't let this small inconvenience stop you from buying this product, you'll use it everytime you travel.

Let me preface my remarks by saying, I am NOT a fan of Monster and their cables. I believe their A/V cables are overpriced junk and that for the most part consumers are sold a bill of goods, thinking their overpriced cables will produce better results. This is particularly true with HDMI cables. The company is also overly litigious and go around suing anyone who has attempts to use the "monster" name in any of their products. Even unrelated products.

Having said that, this is a nice compact power strip that is well designed and met my need so I decided to go for it. The cord folds around the strip for easy storage and it's easy to use.

I'm with the other reviewers who mention the blue light. It's bright in a dark room and is totaly unecessary. It doesn't serve any purpose other than to tell you the outlet has electricity. This is the second one of these I received, the first one arrived DOA. The funny thing is, the blue light on that one worked when plugged into the wall, but none of the outlets on the strip worked. Either a short or a faulty product. The vendor accepted my return even without the packaging, which I had thrown away before I tested the product, no questions asked!!

For the people that commented that this will not work in Europe, I did personally contact Monster Customer Service and the representative assured me that this will work in the 220V environment in Europe. You need to buy a
US to Europe power adapter such as this VCT - PLUG ADAPTER - CONVERTS GROUNDED USA PLUGS TO EUROPE PLUG-GERMAN SHUCKO PLUG (VP 11W) in order for it to work and your electronics must be made for the 220V environment as well.

I am a road warrior and this little outlet is invaluable for my travels and enables me to quickly power up in hotel rooms without enough outlets. I have a PC, Blackberry, iPod and always need juice. Also, a KEY benefit if for international travelers--this allows you to charge up to four US devices off of one adapter! My colleagues are jealous of me. Fits easily in to my satchel. Buy one today!

I bought this power strip for my study abroad in the UK a month ago. It won't convert voltage, but it works very well when you plug in US plugs that have adapters that allow UK voltages (240V).

My current set up: an international power adapter into the UK plug -> Monster power strip into adapter -> laptop, external hard drives, phone charger, USB charger into power strip. All the electronics that are plugged into the power strip have voltage adapters that can take power input between 100 to 240 V AC.

So far, after a month of use, I have not had any problems. I will post an update to this review only if I do encounter problems in the future.
