This is a great product by a great company, however, it has 2 ground prongs which will fit a standard double outlet, but will not fit a decora style GFCI outlet because the grounding prongs are too far apart. Keep this in mind before ordering.

Purchased this to protect my refrigerator. Researched lots of different surge suppressors and chose this Monster product based on joules, visual/audible alarms, and reputation. This product works as advertised.

I am glad that Monster makes these as they can save the boards in the front load washers and all other fragile appliances

I bought this because I have a mini fridge in my basement and when it would turn on it would take so much power it would cut out my tv for a couple seconds because they are on the same circuit. I bought this and it prevents the power surge/drop. Works great and I hope this review helps. I was looking for a product for a while that would help my problem.

I spent $2500 on a new set of front-loading steamcare washer and dryer with silvercare. I thought this item well worth it to protect my investment.

I purchased the power center to use it for my new refrigerator. However, when I opened the package, I discovered the middle screw which would attach the device to the outlet. I cannot use it because my outlets are the newer flat ones which don't have a middle screw. I can't remove the screw unless I saw it off so, $40.00 down the drain!!

My mother's refrigerator was zapped during a storm about 3 months ago. They had to replace a fan motor and a circuit board for the wonderful sum of $480. When asking the tech what he felt was the cause, he said it was an electrical spike. Doing some research, this seems to be the best solution for the problem. I ordered two (one for Mom and one for us!) and they installed easily but be warned, you will need to be able to use a screwdriver as you need to remove the center screw in the faceplate and screw the device into the same hole as the faceplate screw. It make the device stable and ready to go.We haven't had any storms recently that might set it off but I see on the weather one is on the way tonight. We'll see what happens!!

I should have paid more attention. This will never fit behind my appliances. If the plug went in the side it might. My plugs are behind my freezer and my dishwasher. Both which have gone out in the last year the latter possibly due to lightening.

What a drag,

Went through all the necessary preperations to install this surge protector only to find the directions of the plugs prohibits me from putting my Air conditioner in the plug marked AC because my Air conditioner plug (as most air conditioner plugs) is a flat 3 pronger which meant, when I plugged it in, it covers the outlet below it. There are two plugs ... one marked AC and the other marked Outlet 2. Maybe I am incorrect in assuming that the one marked AC is for the Air Conditioner and Outlet 2 is for other equipment but why call it AC if it's just outlet 1 and you can plug your Air conditioner into either?Their help section was ridiculous telling you to turn the power off on the adapter before plugging it in to the wall and yet, it has no power button. Also telling you nothing about the fourth prong on the unit. I looked at at for a while before I figured that one out. It is there to plug into the ground of the second outlet on your wall. Also, it tells you about other units that have coaxable connections, phone connections etc. which this one doesn't, tells you how to connect your stereo equipment and yet it tells you nothing about plugging in your Air Conditioner (and the dang thing is called "Air Conditioner Power Protect AC200". Even the website has nothing on this unit.

Anyone that buys any Monster product knows they are great. This one is inexpensive and does exactly what you need it to do.
