This small bluetooth speaker packs a mild punch and sounds good to the average listener. If you were hoping for sound like the bose soundlink or jawbone big jambox, its not even close. This speaker puts out about 50% of the output the soundlink and big jambox would. Its a little cheaper but not by much.

I returned this item as it didn't come close to competing with the soundlink I had recently bought. I would buy this product if it were priced around $100. No way will many people buy this for $200. Simply not enough sound/volume/loudness to justify paying that. Best Buy has this speaker along with a couple others that it simply can not compete with. Yes, it is smaller and if thats all youre looking for then the Jawbone little jambox produces just as much if not more sound than this at about the same size and cheaper.

Again, a nice small simple BT speaker but costs too much for too little sound.

I traded my Monster Clarity for a coffee maker and upgraded to the Monster Micro Clarity. This device fills my living space with crisp, clear sound. I am very pleased with this purchase. This device is a great value. Thanks, Monster.

The speaker sounded great and the voice control worked well. Small and compact but can still fill a room with sound.

This product comes well packaged, as well as many Apple products. The box it comes in has a cloth tab on the right side (opposite the beveled left side) for opening, and once the top flap is lifted, you'll see a plastic container on the top right containing the Monster device, and a compartment below that for accessories. Lift out the Monster, and you'll notice on the right side a seam in the grille (mine is black, but you can get the grille in blue, red, and green - these sold separately). Pull up on the grille on the right, and you'll see the dual speakers (approx 1 inch in diameter, solidly encased). There's also a small clip on the right side for attaching a carrying strap, also included.
The device comes with a usb charging system with four attachments for charging in any type outlet. And these slide on the main charging system very cleverly.
Once charged, turn on the device (a small switch on the bottom rear), and you can pair it with any modern bluetooth device. I've paired mine with an iPod touch and an iPad, and it syncs very easily.

I've played mine with Pandora and iTunes music from my iPT, and it works well, although with Pandora, it seems to cut out occasionally, requiring me to re-sync.
Sound-wise, it's very clear at high volume in the midrange and the treble range, and there's decent sound separation in the lower register, although the bass doesn't come through as well as the high end. You have to hold down the volume tabs on top a few seconds for the system to adjust the volume - i.e., you can't do it in short jabs.

The base of the device is beveled slightly so that it leans back, allowing the speakers to project upward. There is on the rear a usb inlet for charging, and a line in, receptacle.

I have always used wired speakers for my portable music use, I like to hear decent highs and lows on my music (I am not an audiophile). I have listened to the Jawbone Jambox and the Monster Clarity and I would say they sound about the same. Speaker clarity is great but the bass is on the weak side. I have listened to music and podcasts via Nexus 7 and they both sound great.

Here's my break down of what I've have found in the last 3 days:

Positives:
1. Syncing via BT is easy, it gives a verbal instructions from the speakers.
2. Speaker is loud and clear.

Negatives:
1. Bass is weak.
2. Price is too high.

I give it 4 stars because of the sub par bass and higher price.

I've finally found my bathroom speakers. ;)

This is a neat little unit... it pairs very simply with your Bluetooth-enabled device and is small enough to take from room to room, like we all used to do with our boom boxes in the 80s (though this is smaller than a typical "boom box"-- it's slightly longer than my hand, and a little narrower). I love listening to Pandora, and this gives me the ability to do that in any room of my house without even using up an outlet. The next time you turn on the unit, it automatically tries to pair with the last device you paired it with, so you don't have to fiddle with the settings each time.

The sound quality is not exceptional, but it's good, particularly for small speakers like this. I'm picky about bass levels, and this passes my inspection. The levels are not adjustable, though, so you'll have to be happy with the default.

Voice commands work fine as long as you're speaking clearly into the unit. I liked being able to check the battery level just by saying, "Check battery level." (It was "high" even after listening to music for 3 hours.)

You can use this both as a speaker for music/video, and as a speakerphone for your cell phone (for calls and for listening to voicemail).

The packaging is sleek and upscale, and I disagree with the reviewer who mentioned the packaging as excessive-- I assume the reviewer was actually referring to the box Amazon sent it in, as opposed to the product packaging itself, which is not at all excessive. The company doesn't control Amazon's shipping choices. The product's box has a magnetic closure and looks nice for gifting.

There are only three buttons on the device-- volume up, volume down, and a button for pairing.
