I would be even more happy if they made a 5 way splitter version like the Belkin I bought.

Would buy again for sure.

Looking for a Y-connector for headsets to use with an iPod or other MP3 player or with a laptop? Consider the following product, which is on another Amazon web page:

Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter 200 Mini Y-Adapter for iPod w/ Volume Control/Mute (AICYP 200)

The specs for the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter say it connects two sets of headphone to iPod, MP3 player, laptop, portable CD/DVD/game system, and smart phone. It has built-in dual volume controls enable individual listening levels and individual mute switches.

And the the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter is currently $6.47 less.

I don't know if the AICYP 200 iSplitter on the other page is any different than the one for the Zune and therefore can't recommend the the Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter if you have a Zune. But if you don't have a Zune, then there is no reason to spend the extra money (based on current pricing) on the splitter for the Zune.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality product, July 11, 2011
This review is from: Monster MusicShare Headphone Y-Splitter with Volume Control/Mute for Zune (Electronics)
This is the perfect product for many scenarios. If you're on a plane with a friend and both want to watch a movie, you can both plug in and listen at the same time. The volume adjustment for each listener is key. You'll never find two people with the same ear buds and the amount that you need for the 'right' volume varies hugely depending on the model. This piece of equipment is also perfect if you hook up your home computer's out to the speaker system and it's in a place that sometimes your mate is sleeping or the baby or whatever... You can turn down the speakers for the computer and listen with a head set. I'm using the two I purchased for the above reasons and they work perfectly!

5.0 out of 5 stars very nice quality splitter, April 24, 2011

i had a few crappy ones and got Monster one recently. I use it with my desktop PC to split audio to speakers and headphones. It works great, made nicely and i love the independent mute/volume feature. it is standard 3.5mm connector so will work with any mp3 or audio device - do not get confused by "for Zune"

5.0 out of 5 stars Monster MusicShare Headphone Y-Splitter with Volume Control/Mute for Zune, April 15, 2011

Splitter, volume control and mute for Zune? Well, that's funny, this little gem will work for any 1/8" (3.5mm) device and headphone jack application. The only volume loss detected is when 2 headphones are plugged in at once (which is normal since the device has to split up the power between 2 loads)

Pros - Well made. Nice size. Great sound quality through it. Devices fit snug in both the male and female ends (as it should be) Volume controls do truly go down to near zero (some I have read about only go down 1/2 way or so)

Cons - Luckily I paid less than ten bucks for it, and for that price it is a 'pro' not a con. At it's current price (nearly 15 bucks) I feel it is a little high in price.

Well, whatever price you pay (up to the 20 bucks retail) this is a nice unit. I feel it will last a long time. Did I mention the sound quality is very good through this splitter? YES, I did!
