I bought the monster EP IR2450 I can't say anything to exciting I mean its a fancy Surge Suppressor. This is a very good looking unit, It works great. The only problem I have had with it is I mounted the IR reciever next to my Vizio VT420M tv and had to move it to a location farther from the tv to get it to work. Something with the backlight from the tv or just interferrence not really sure. If you look at any other systems that transfer remote signals in this fashion it sounded like they all have this problem with the lcd tvs. But yeah for the price its great and once you work the bugs out of the ir receiver its wonderful all of my components tv dvd cable box ect. are hidden in a cupboard where i don't have to look at them! And the thing is supposed to cut power if voltage goes to high or to low which is great because we have brown outs frequently. Also monster hooks you up with more ir eyes for you equipment than you will need and some other stuff(cable wire etc.)

This unit adds a great look to my entertainment center. It has a very safistacated look that makes it look very advanced. It even has lights on the back included with labeling for each unit in my center. It filters the power and gives better sound and picture, it also has a very healthy insurance backup plan for any damage equipment connected.

Monster surge protector didn't work out of the box indicating wild voltage surges and shutting down power. Called Monster customer service who weren't any help. Returned it to Amazon and bought the Panamax M4300-PM which works perfectly. In fact, I've since bought 4 more Panamax M4300-PMs. A year ago, I also bought a Monster HDMI cable which tip recently came apart (I just threw it in the garbage). Monster is no longer the quality brand it once was.
