Monsterican Greatness, May 3, 2005
One may say that after only two albums, it's too early for a 'best of' CD...but if you're a fan, it's never too early!
Enter Lordi: a wonderful mix of '80s-esque Alice Cooper, AC/DC, and Twisted Sister, coupled with their own brand of ball-bashing, take-no-prisoners hard rock. This is not a black/death-metal album, but an amazing rebirth of the never-gone style that raged before the pop years.
The package is accompanied by a DVD of all Lordi's music videos released to date of the compilation - "Would You Love A Monsterman?", "Devil Is A Loser", and "Blood Red Sandman" (if you've had to live with the less-than-perfect quality they appear in on Lordi's homepage, you'll appreciate the need for a clear picture of these three short horror-spectacles).
Indeed, Lordi is here, and the Finnish Monsters don't tend to dissapoint. Prepare for hell-raising and bone-mashing in a way that you never have before, and relish in the jaws of the Manbeast in your final moments.

Fabulous, May 24, 2006
Look... I never heard of Lordi before the Eurovision Contest 2006. I thought they would obtain just a few votes, as the show is usually full of awful pop songs and miserable singers. But then, they made History. Not only they won, but they won with style. Their show was brilliant, the outfits, the music, the attitude and the pyro. And in the press-conference, Lordi was clever, his speech was interesting. Talking about a victory for Rock fans (he added 'Kiss fans' !) but more for open-mindness. No, Lordi will NOT change the face of Rock Music. Though the songs are perfectly crafted and full of strong melodies, the most important lies in the way they changed forever the attitude of millions of people (100 millions usually watch the Euro show) who never heard such music before. Kids all over Europe now will want to buy the Lordi Action Figures, CD's and maybe learn guitar or drums. Older will realise that Rock can be fun, that in show-buisness there's also the show. Like Elvis in his 1955 Ed Sullivan show, with his legendary 'Pelvis' dance that changed pop culture forever in a deep way, Saturday May 20th 2006, Lordi made a useful contribution for a more open, free and liberal world. I'm not kidding. Cultural History is made by these tiny changes. But for now, just buy the record, you won't regret it, it's nice, and these guys are not rich, your money will be appreciated ! Plus, enjoy the fact that we have such music to listen to, and not only the pre-formatted World Top 40.
Thank you guys...

Monster Good Fun!, January 12, 2007
Lordi, the finnish monster rockers are the new Kiss, but more extreme. Playing melodic hard rock and heavy metal, they receantly took the world over by surprise by winning the 2006 Eurovision Pop Song Contest. This is a combination of their first two CD's: Get Heavy and The Monsterican Dream. The Monster Show starts off with the rightfully named Theatrical Trailer, introducing the band, then paving the way for Bring It On! Blood Red Sandman stomps it's way next, followed by the melodic My Heaven Is Your Hell. The beautiful Would You Love a Monsterman quickly captivates you next with it's awesome guitar riffs and Mr. Lordi's raspy vocals. Following is the classic riproaring Devil is a Loser. The piano ballad Icon Of Dominance is next, silently giving way to the haunting Children of The Night. Shotgun Divorce delivers the kicks, and the wacky Forsaken Fashion Dolls really make you wonder about those fashion freaks. Wake The Snake slithers in next with a bang, chanting the way for Rock The Hell Outta You. The Bonus DVD's are a real treat, with Blood Red Sandman being a must see. All of their music videos are like short horror films. It's been a long time since any band has delivered such wonderful music all in monstermaniac style and fashion! If you love Kiss, horror movies, and classic heavy metal, buy this album. It's a must have!
Great Tracks: Bring It On, Blood Red Sandman, My Heaven is Your Hell, Would You Love a Monsterman, Devil is a Loser, The Children of The Night, Wake The Snake.
