5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, engaging, beautiful book, August 28, 2006
Adam Wallacavage photographs the mundane and makes it look fantastic. The super-saturated color and unusual compositions make all of his subjects - people, bands, skateboarders - seem unnatural, yet completely realistic. A neat trick. Simple-looking technicolor photos of freaks, weirdos, and friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars this book is a feast..., August 14, 2006
By rachael "tinyrach" (San Francisco) - See all my reviews
but I'm already hungry for MORE. Cotton candy colors and fantastical creatures collide with the modern and forgotten ephemera of flea markets, rock shows and hot summer days. Adam's mind is a 1956 seaside amusement park at dusk, a magic place.
