Monster High Skull Shores Abbey Bominable Doll

First off, check Toys-R-Us, I purchased 2 Skull Shores dolls for the price of one on here (I am a collector, so I shop around A LOT). However, I cannot be more pleased with my purchase!

Abbey is stunning, as usual. I do not own the original version of her and cannot wait to get her! The Skull Shores version is definitely worth owning. Abbey's entire body sparkles in the light. She comes with a pretty purple hat that fits her head perfectly and a slushy drink as an accessory. Her hair is in a side pony, which is bright pink and white, and also equally as sparkly as her skin! She is wearing a one piece suit with a cute little purple wrap around her waist. She is wearing cute little icicle earrings in her ears, and has adorable little purple high-heeled shoes. In my opinion, she is the prettiest one of the entire Skull Shores collection, a must have!

I snatched her up in a local store, and was thrilled to have finally found an Abbey: an Abbey! And at around $12! (Hold out for the lower prices, and buy in store if at all possible!) She is gorgeous, with no visible flaws, but again, I must warn parents that with rough play, her joints may not last. Her hand, and I believe her forearms are designed to detach for easier undressing and redressing.
The doll is sparkly and has a rough texture due to that, so I image she may snag fabric, but the effect is beautiful.
I find Abbey to be one of the prettier characters in the series of dolls, and love her Skull Shores design as well.
If you are lucky enough to find her, I'd recommend buying one. She really make a statement.

Abbey is pretty but surprisingly bland in comparison to the other Gloom Shores dolls. Her hair comes in a ponytail on the side - and the ponytail is held by a clear plastic band. Not really the most fashionable choice so I took the rubber band out and left her hair loose.

She comes with a tie-neck one piece in Abbey colors and snowflakes. She has a white belted wrap with a see-through purple snow design that doesn't look as impressive as the other dolls in the series. She has a key bracelet on her hand, an ice chunk on her shirt, and clear purple icey looking sandals. Surprisingly, both her earings match and look like chunky icicles.

In all, she's a cute doll but I'd suggest getting her last unless you really love the character. She really lacks the rich styling of the other dolls in the Skull Shores line. But she still very cute and very Monster High - and the Skull Shores are MUCH better than the boring Gloom Beach dolls!

My daughter has been looking for Abbey for a while now and this was the best deal available! She loves her!!

my 8 year old loves paying monster high with her friends, they put aside barbies for them and have not looked back!

The doll has been an adventure since it was over priced in November and December 2011 we just waited for the price to meet our budget and it did on Amazon. My granddaughter loves the Abby
Bominable doll since it's her namesake. The arms are fragile. Mattel didn't take into consideration of the age group most likely to request these dolls so take it easy dressing and undressing. It's a joy watching the grandkids play with toys they absolutely love. And thanks for the price for grandma's.

My granddaughter collects the Monster dolls. This one was hard to find, except through Amazon. This one was special because it was for her birthday

Used a gift card or we would have looked elsewhere. I'm told Walmart has the same doll for half the price. What a rip off these dolls are. The vampire generation's Barbie dolls. I'm sure my daughter will tire of these just like she has from other dress up dolls. For now they are all the rage with tweens in after school.

So I find my self so attracted to these lil dolls that I cant help but to make another review.
This time we have the Skull Shore Abby Bominable doll.

First off about the doll her self. She has the standard issue monster high delicate body and long legs pointed at the toes. She has the same arms as the other dolls but for a very nice touch the hands on this doll are slightly larger than the other females in the line and also feature claws/talons at the end of her fingers. She has a beautifully scupled face with full painted on lips with upward jutting tusks instead of the downward fangs of the Draculara and Clawdeen dolls. She has large blueish purple eyes and a larger nose in comparison to some of the other dolls giving her a vaugely noridic or almost nothern native look. Her skin is a truly lovely plastel blue and she has been covered in sparkles to give her an icy appearance. Her hair is long and white in the front with pink blue and purple underneath as well as some clear glitterly strands that add to the whole "ice" effect. Her out fit is extreamly cute. She comes in a one peice black bathing suit with a long black tie around her neck. On the front of her suit is a lil ice shaped plastic jemstone. And over her suit is a see through blueish sarong with fur and a snow flake design. Her earings, hat and sandals all repeat the purply ice theam of the stone on her suit and are all made out of the same flexible purple plastic. She has a lil paper map that comes with her, and finally a lil snow cone/ slurpy accessory that finishes off the whoel look.

Like the CA Cupid doll or some of the other new addtions to the line, she has stiffer joints and stays on her stand better than some of the orginals. Some people have said that they have an issue with the durablity, i however have not noticed this. This could be more due to the fact that they are younger people playing with the dolls and not just displaying them as I would, but so far I have found the durablity to be excellent from the whole line.

Over all I found this doll to be a nice addition to the line. If you are simply looking for a copy of the abby doll and not worried about the out fit. Then this lil lady could be a great alternative to paying such a high price for the main verison of the doll.
So I would say that alone she is a great buy, and as a change or subsitution from the main doll she is an awsome choice.

Me and my best friend have been collecting the Monster High dolls since they first were released, She collects frankie, C.A. Cupid, draculaura and Clawd, wheras I collect Clawdeen, Abbie, Ghoulia and soon Toralei and Operetta. Her boyfriend even wants Spectra!

Anyway I was at walmart a few weeks ago and it is obvious that the Monster high dolls are populaar becuase the shelves were always bare, I go there and see that Abby in her skull shores set where all alone, it suprised me to see this, Abbie is one of my fav dolls, so I grab her up and make my purchase and head home.

When I got back, I instantly set her up to hang out with my 2 Clawdeens, They look so cute.

I can't wait to get the Original Abbie doll, I will have to check all stores often, I don't like ordering it online because it is EXPENSIVE anyway, I only would reccomend these dolls to girls that are ready to take care of dolls, better then barbie. Because they are fragile but fun.
