It is fun to drive the big trucks, but I find the controls awkward, and hard to use. And the "engine noise" from the trucks is very annoying. I always turn the volume off while playing, because it really drives me crazy. While I do enjoy the novelty of driving these big trucks, I tire quickly of falling off the side of the mountain because the controls are awkward to me.

This game is so bad that Amazon doesn't even have a listing of this game being on PS2. Not even GameFaq acknowledge that this game is on Ps2. It's a horrendous monster truck drive that will be sure to put you to sleep before the second lap is complete. Your first selections are of 1 of 4 vehicles, most of them are monster trucks, there is a couple of off road cars, but seriously, which one would you be choosing in a game like this?

You compete in 4 races around a dull track and just race to be in first position. Along the way you can obtain some nitrous, fixes and money. What the money is for is anyone's guess, as you can't buy anything with it. The graphics are Playsation 1 quality. Why is this game even being released on PS2 or Wii? The whole game is 40 meg, that outta tell you something right there. There are a few other modes to unlock and a few other trucks, but by the time I completed the fourth race, I was done being bored to death by watching this stupid truck bob up and down while nitro and money icons danced on the screen in front of me.

It's too slow, and when you do pick up some speed, you eventually fall back into almost slow motion. Maybe unlocking V8 and V12 mode makes that better, but bugger sitting around for an hour playing this thing over and over again to do so, only to be awarded with some extra speed to an otherwise extreme snore-fest.

If you want good Monster Truck games, then get one of the Monster Jam games. Leave this one and Arenas alone... both these games should be on one disc, and not cheaply made to be sold as separate games, even tho both should be the one game and would still be a horrible game to play. Don't judge this game on reviews of people who have probably only played this game, and never played another racing game before, and they mistake this game for as good as it gets on PS2 or Wii. Just take my word on it, avoid this game and go for a Monster Jam title, that way you won't regret it.

For a few bucks more, you could get Excite Truck - a far, far better game.

I get on this game and the time flies by. I have so much fun I don't pay attention to the time.
