I have now used 3 sets of these in my system for line level audio connections, not component.
I am not a Monster fanboy by any means, I have always felt their products are way overpriced, but these are the bargain cables of the century.
I suspect the price is so low because component video is becoming a dead format,at least for the delivery of HD video, and sales of component cables have likely dropped a lot.
These cables are very well made with solid copper wiring, outstanding shielding and most importantly for me, 75ohm impedance, an ideal impedance for most components, unless you like change the sound of your system using cables with a different impedance. Cable "sound" is generally simply a variation in L, C or R, in my opinion, not the cable material.
Anyway the connectors on these can be a b**ch to insert and then remove. They provide a very secure fit but at the risk of damaging the component's connector.
Solution: simply insert the cable into any female RCA adaptor, or even another cable with a female RCA connector, and let it sit for 24 hrs or so. This will gently expand the connector so that it's not too tight, allowing you to connect it to the component without damage. Over time the connector will loosen up a bit more but remain snug.

The cables are nice and an incredible value for the money. My only complaint is the grip of death they put onto the input and output terminals. It is very difficult to get the RCA ends onto the jacks and getting them off is like pulling the tooth from an angry tiger. A tight fit is good, this borders on ridiculous.

The cables have excellent build-quality and appear to provide superior quality of performance in the few days I have used it so far. This to me is in line with the reputation of Monster I have heard so far. However, the connector end that fits over the jack to lock the cables were extremely tight. It took a lot of strenous effort of push them onto my BluRay player output jacks and my AV reciever inputs. Once they fitted in, they are however quite secure and work just fine. These cables are a fantastic deal for their quality. They work flawlessly and I have no complaints about the actual quality of the video. Although I have no complaints about the video quality, the only thing I don't like is that they're a (very) tight fit into the RCA connectors. In my opinion, this does not effect the amount of stars I give these cables because they work great and most people will only plug and unplug them a few times in the few years they will use them. I bought two of these to use on my A/V receiver to connect to my DVD player and my old, standard definition TV.

The bottom line is that these are very affordable component cables and they work fantastically. If you have been needing a pair of component video connectors, these will not disappoint.

This Monster cable is a great value on a quality product. The current popularity of HDMI has lowered the cost of these cables to the cost of cheap aftermarket junk. The length of the cables make them easy to install and the RCA connectors are very high quality. If you have older home theatre or just need a good set of RCA cables you cannot go wrong. Highly recommended.

I actually bought these cables not be be used as a component video but to actually replace it into a Digital Coaxial Cable and a sub-woofer cable. I still have one more to spare. It has the specs of a Digital Coaxial Cable (75ohm) and it has a firm grip contact on the connection. They are very well built, but even if you use it as component, it will transmit a very good almost flawless video signal. So therefore because of the price, the quality and the many uses it can perform it is in my opinion a 5 star product. The cables has a rubber bridge attaching the three cables together, hence if you are going to split the cables into three single cables you need to be very careful not to cut the shielding coating.

I got these on sale and replaced some cheap cables that came with my Vulkano unit. These are stiff and a bit awkward, yet they do a real nice job. Just be careful that you don't damage your equipment when putting them on and off. The Vulkano's input connectors are a bit shallow and a bit...less than solid. Or at least in comparison to theses cables.

I would not install these on anything you plan to connect/disconnect frequently. Seems it would be a bit too much wear and tear on the input plugs.

I'm sure the price on these will vary a bit but at the time of this post it was well under $10. For all of those complaining about how stiff they are or how hard they are to clamp on, let's get something clear...these are HEAVY cables and if you fold metal cables they kink the performance drops. The casing on these things are fantastic for protecting and shielding the heavy gauge cable inside and the grip (although a bit excessive at first) is needed...and welcomed if you've ever had one of 100 cables in the back of your system pop off and not have a clue where it came from. How often are you unplugging these things anyway? Plug them in once and be done. When you're buying monster your buying heavy cables and shielding and solid connections..that's the point IMO.

And don't expect to use the 4ft. cable on components 4 feet apart..that's not how to gauge the length you need. I have no problem bending these cables a full 180 degrees for connecting stacked components, but they are stacked right on top of one another..and my components on the rack exceed no more than 2 feet in total height. If you're connecting devices 3 feet or more apart and the plugs are pointed the same direction you should get the 8 footer.

I now own 2 sets of these and I'm tempted to buy more but I suspect I won't need too many more with the shift to video sources using HDMI cables. If you need a short component run for your amp, or component switch...look no further.
