5.0 out of 5 stars Economical
I own 14 of these batteries now, and I use them for every battery operated device I own. They are much more powerful than other batteries and charge fully in about 3 hours. The battery charger is also conveniently small. Highly recommended for high drain devices (I own 2 MP3-CD Players and a digital camera.)

Well, like most Monster products, this is a high quality product that is overpriced. I really wish the other people writing reviews didn't feel the need to write in caps with exclamation points all over the place.

These are not the highest powered batteries, the newer Kodak Max 1850 mAh ones are. They are also cheaper. These Monster batteries are good, just not the best, or best value.

For those interested in battery/charger combos:
The Kodak Max 1850 mAh do not currently come bundled with their K2000 charger(they bundle the 1700s).
Monster does bundle their 1800 mAh batteries with their charger.
Kodak's charger can charge all 4 batteries at the same time, while Monster's can only charge 2 at a time. Monster's combo
also costs more than Kodak.

Just some pros and cons to think about. I personally feel Kodak is a better value.

Digital cameras eat batteries, period. With 4 of these in my Fuji, I took over 200 flash pictures at a party without a problem. I never had to get out my set of spares. That's the way it is; that's the way it should be. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest NiMH batts ever, June 15, 2002

I would recomend these batteries over all else for many reasons one being the price. These Batteries are more expensive then other rechargable batteries but have a power rating of 1800mAh. Most others are 1600mAh or 1700mAh and these last twice as long as a set of energizers i have in my Minolta Dimage 7i. That camara uses normal alkalines in 15 min! but these last like 2 hours of continuos use. The 1700mAh that came with it last like an hour or so. The second reson i recomend these are that they are made by Monster and they make very good [STUFF]. All their cables are top of the line and so are these batteries.

I bought these batteries on what was writen on their packaging. It was not true to what was said. These batteries died after only 25 minutes in my digital camera. And a set of Duracell Ultras, that are not rechargeable, lasted longer. Do not always believe what you read. Make sure you have the ability to return items. And is with this case, they went back. I went with a set of energizers. And they last much longer, with the power being the smae as these 1800mah monster brand.

I have tried the Energizer Accu-Rechargeable which are rated at 1200 mAh. The Monster Cable batteries blow them away. They last MUCH longer and the Energizers have started to leak after only a few charges!
Technology is getting better, will try the Kodak batteries next. They are cheaper and have a better mHa rating. Even so, I would recommend these.

after using the Kodak batteries (offered through Amazon) I would recommend them too. I haven't tested them head-to-head but both sets work well with my digital camera and Leapster.

Still standing by my first review. After owning the Monster, Kodak and 2 sets of Powerex (2300mAh) - I'm a NiMH convert. They all perform very well in toys and my digital camera, the Energizer batteries are the only ones that have been duds.

3.0 out of 5 stars VERY overpriced, December 25, 2003
This review is from: Monster Cable MB AA 1850-4 Ultra-High Capacity Rechargeable Monster PowerCells (Electronics)
a 4 pack of rayovac 1800mah (probably higher capacity sold now) AAs is $8.97 at walmart. if you get them mail order add 1.44 for shipping. 1800 mah is now the low end for AA nimh batteries, there are 2000, 2100 and 2200mah ones out now. I have bought 4 lenmar 2000s for $6! (wish I had stocked up during the sale)

Worth the money so far. But only if you use it in something like a digital camera that can suck down power. I have gotten over 100 pics with flash on my Olympus, where I got less than 40 with regular NIMH, and 20 with alkaline.

On a recent trip, I brought 2 charged sets and got all of my pictures taken without needing to resort to recharging.

Perfect batteries for any digital camera. You can't go wrong with these.

I will not buy any batteries other than Monster batteries from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could'nt live with out them, January 12, 2007
This review is from: Monster Cable MB AA 1850-4 Ultra-High Capacity Rechargeable Monster PowerCells (Electronics)
I have been using the Monster Cable rechargeables for years now. They hold thier charge well, even in high battery drain elctronics. I have some cheap recharables for other things in my house, but in my digital cameras and game controllers I only use the Monsters. They are expensive compared to the ones you can get at the "big box" stores, however you get what youpay for. I can take about a hundred more pictures in my camera than with any other batteries I have used, rechargable or not. Anyway long review short, buy 'em they rock!
