My first suggestion is to use Excel to create a blank 16 x 16 grid and make several photocopies to save wear-and-tear on the book, plus you can have bigger cells if you need them for figuring. Do not be discouraged, for one-asterisk puzzles (easiest), I would suggest roaming logic, which means examining a row, column or box with the fewest empty squares and looking for twins, triplets, quadruples, etc. The sooner you can figure these out, the progressively easier the puzzle gets as boxes fill in. Remember twins, triplets, etc act as a group to eliminate. Now Puzzle 2 is two-asterisk, Puzzle 12 has three, and Puzzle 22 has four, but random difficulty otherwise.

Puzzle 2 (which I just solved yesterday) is hard enough that I had to adapt my 9x9 pictorial method for 16x16 grids, was able to solve it correctly until the last seven letters. Overall I enjoyed solving it, I can't wait until the three- and four-asterisk puzzles- by then you should develop some efficient method of keeping track of "pencil marks" or these must be close to but not quite impossible. I recommend it already and I just got it!!

Bought this to upgrade to a greater challenge from the regular 9x9 & 16x16 sudokus. This will definately do that.

This is the best Wordoku! Much more challenging than the standard Soduku.
