5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely gem of a book!! July 8, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read this book to my 4 year old tonight and she loved it!! The book celebrates how families can be unique and yet be so similar to everyone else's. The illustrations are very cute!! My daughter had a lot of fun picking out all the things that we do, which were also depicted in the story! I foresee this book becoming a staple at bedtime in our house.

Angela Muse has once again created an Adorable book for toddlers and early elementary aged children! The illustrations by Ewa Podles` are very colorfully creative, increasing the reading enjoyment. This story is delightful anytime and one the children will truly love!

The main topic of the story emphasizes things mommies and daddies do for their children...even monsters!

My review of this book rates it with Five Stars.

*I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review of which I have given.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute and Sweet July 13, 2014
By UBizz
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got this book for free after it was on the Kindle Buffett list. It was sweet, but did not hold the attention of my 3 year old at this time. This doesn't mean that the book is not good, just means that she has so many digital e-books to choose from she hasn't connected with this one yet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Granddaughter enjoys it November 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I only gave it three stars as I haven't read this book. I bought it for my granddaughter who enjoys reading it so I figured if she enjoys it then it must deserve that many.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great picture book to ease young children's fears October 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
My son (6) and I reviewed this book for Mother Daughter Book Reviews. Here are some of our thoughts.

SON SAYS:

The book is about monsters who have mommies and daddies who do things with them. They are all nice monsters and they are not scary. I think all of the pictures are really good. I really like the picture of the monsters playing peek-a-boo because I like blue and the monsters are blue in that picture. I like the part of the book where the monsters are eating using their noses because it's funny. They have pet monsters too! I really liked the book because it was funny and the monsters were funny. The story reminded me of stuff I do with my Mommy and Daddy. I think little kids under the age of six would like this book and I don't think they would be scared of the monsters.

MOM SAYS:

Monsters Have Mommies uses simple rhyming verses, wonderfully entertaining illustrations, and a straightforward underlying message to help reduce the fear of monsters in young children. I highly recommend this book to young children who are feeling a bit frightened around Halloween time or at any time of year. Ages 2+

More About the Author

Angela was born in California to a military family. This meant that she got used to being the "new kid" in school every couple of years. It was hard trying to make new friends, but Angela discovered she had a knack for writing. In high school Angela began writing poetry and song lyrics. Expressing herself through writing seemed very natural. After becoming a Mom in 2003, Angela continued her storytelling to her own children. In 2009 she wrote and published her first rhyming children's book aimed at toddlers. Since then she has released several more children's picture books and released her first young adult romance series, The Alpha Girls, in 2012.

Angela's husband, Ben Muse writes suspense/thriller books that can also be found on Amazon.
